Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband and I spent 4 days in Atlantic City, NJ last week. We wanted Italian. This restaurant had an awesome staff. 3 servers serving per table. The food was phenomenal. The portions were huge. My husband had Veal Marsalla. I had Chicken Parmesean. We...had leftovers for the next day. We would highly recommend this restaurant. Shout out to Jose and his team. They were awesome.More

This establishment makes your dining experience so personal and special. My husband and I came to spend the night for our 2nd wedding anniversary, and the staff here went above and beyond to make our time here memorable. Stephen, Jose, and Alberto were so thoughtful…they...spent time talking to us, getting to know us, and sharing their own stories and experiences with us. Not to mention the food was absolutely incredible…they gave us amazing wine and food recommendations. We’re from NYC, where arguably there is some of the the best food in the world, but this place did not disappoint. The service, food, and ambiance were so wonderful. Go here. I promise you will not regret it.More

I took my mom to AC for an overnight trip and we went to Capriccio for Dinner. Everyone was amazing and so accommodating, Especially Jose V and Genaro. The food is outstanding and the PEANUT BUTTER pie is next level!! A must try!

First visit to Capriccio’s in Atlantic City for my birthday. My husband and I had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. The team of Marisol, Jose, and Albeiro took care of us all night. They were awesome! The cook...even made a special meal for me. I can’t thank him enough. Marisol was nice enough to take pictures of us to document a great night. I would highly recommend anyone to enjoy the dining experience here! We will be back!More

Came for dinner. The decor is very old school and outdated, similar to 80% of the client demographic. Service is very good. The food if overpriced for the quality level. Prices are consistent with fine dining but the food is just not that great. Many...better restaurants at Atlantic City. I am not sure why the ratings are so high but there does seem to have a contingent of regulars where staff make them feel very welcome.More

Holy Smokes this place is a joke. Albeit an expensive one. First off the restaurant is half empty so we ask if we can sit on the patio to have a view since that’s the big draw here (and yes we had reservations and yes...we were plenty early). Female hostess gives us a fake smile and says no we have to limit how many can sit there… so we got stuck in one of the worst tables in the place. Sat there and for the next hour watched every other customer walk right by and out to the patio or the 1st row inside the door which was still okay. Sooooo guess we didn’t fit the correct demographic to get the choice tables that they claim are 1st come 1st served, not able to reserve? Demographic seems to be boomers and friends of the staff as many hugs going on with what I assume are ‘regulars’ so they must tip really really well that they can just have it wait for them. Guess gotta grease some palms or something. Now on to the food. Here’s an even bigger “are you kidding me?!” moment. Seriously the shrimp and crab appetizer for $26.99 with 2 shrimp and yes, the “tomato horseradish salsa” is just plain old American cocktail sauce you can find anywhere for 99 cents. And about 2 TBSP of it at that was the serving. The 2 TBSP of the mustard sauce was mayo with some mustard mixed in. 2 shrimp!!! Seriously. Direct from the menu: GAMBERONI E POLPA DI GRANCHIO 26.99 Jumbo gulf shrimp and crabmeat, tomato horseradish salsa, mustard sauce You will also get a small bowl of very cheap oil and some plain uninteresting bread, small portion. Big deal. No seasoning in the oil except what is supposed to be roasted garlic but had zero taste. No salt, no oregano, zilch. Dinner was good. Very small portions, no salad or soup or anything included. Not sure who are those people who wrote reviews that they had leftovers but this wasn’t any where near a normal dinner portion. I feel no one running this place has any idea about Italian food. Only exception was the wine. House wine was absolutely delicious and at $11 a glass actually a good value. There is no ambiance, no ‘dining experience’. No soft music playing, and if you aren’t special then your view is the wait station and the back of the seat bench in front of you. They seat you next to each other so you have to twist on the bench seating to talk to each other or else you sit there like at a drive in movie only the movie is the waiters and the wall. I have never dropped $200 on a dinner and was done in 45 minutes. Might as well have been at a diner. Seems like it caters to rich boomers who lost their taste buds 20 years ago but feel important paying $200 for a lousy dinner. I don’t like leaving a restaurant feeling like I was ripped off and treated like a 2nd class citizen, and that’s exactly how I felt. IMO, If you are under 70 and don’t know the staff, don’t bother with this overpriced nonsense. Attaching pics for your amusement. EnjoyMore
