Girasole is my favorite Italian restaurant in AC. I really had missed coming here and they didn’t disappoint. I love the decor and vibe, but most importantly, their food. The sunflowers, large vases and many other details make you feel like you’re in Italy. It...was extremely busy for a Wednesday night. The menu has many good selections and makes it hard to choose so we chose a lot. Octopus carpaccio Girasole carpaccio Octopus in a red sauce Tasting of 3 pastas-spinach ravioli, gnocchi, spaghetti Nero with crab Zabaglione dessert Margherita pizza All paired with a nice Brunello di Montalcino. Charlie turned 7 with dinner for 22 at his favorite restaurant. Girasole served 22 of us in a private outdoor dining area and the food was genuinely superb. We shared plates of Frittura Mista and Mozzarella e Pepperoni around the table to start. We were...offered a three course Father's Day menu, the regular menu, and a list of specials. We ordered from all of them. Our birthday boy had his usual Caesar salad and Pasta Carbonara along with a Shirley Temple or two with extra cherries. I had a tomato salad and filet mignon from the night's specials. I noticed a lot of branzino, steaks and langoustine around the table. Some assorted dessert plates were passed at the end. This is a MUST try in Atlantic City! Truly authentic Italian restaurant off the boardwalk of AC. We didn’t have a reservation and they still accommodated us and provided us with a nice outdoor seat. The staff were so courteous and warm. The gluten free...pasta was OUT OF THIS WORLD. I have been celiac 8 years and it was by far the best pasta meal I have had since being celiac. The food is excellent. The service seemed a bit overwhelmed and got our order a bit mixed up. That we ok but they just seemed to be uncaring about it. The place caters to its regulars and if it’s your first time they make it...very obvious that they’re ignoring you. Service was fawning over the table next to us and overlooked us. You don’t want to feel second rate when you’re paying just as much. The food is good but not good enough to rush back. Too many other restaurants that treat us well.More

A definite must visit for any self respecting Italian or the experienced diner. 30 years in business at the same location??...Enough said Old world Italian cuisine with a family vibe. Prices are inline and a great value considering the amazing effort by Chef. We had enjoyed a great family dinner at Girasole in June so we came back when we returned to Atlantic City in November. It's the new family favorite restaurant. As long as they serve the Branzino in a salt crust, that's what I'm ordering. It...was wonderful as always and I had the Insalata Formaggi as a starter. The littles (5 and 8) shared a Caesar salad (chopped in the kitchen so the kids could manage it without help), the same spaghetti carbonara they loved in June (we have pictures of two little faces deeply into bowls with forks poised), and an order of ice cream cake. It is their favorite meal, as they have reminded me several times since. The guys had steaks and raved about them. The other entrees were another Branzino and an order of lambchops, and one couple with red meat entrees split a Branzino carpaccio as a starter. Everything was perfect, and there was a lot of sharing. Orders of tiramisu and panne cotta, drinks, a bottle of wine, and cappucinos/espresso rounded out the meal. We can't wait to return.More

My wife and i found Girasole actually on Trip Advisor so we thought we would check it out. We were pleasantly surprised with a warm and friendly welcome. We had dinner here for 2 reasons. We have had their carbonara before sitting at the bar and we were looking forward to having it again and I was given a gift card. Sometimes it is just not good to have high expectations. It all...came down basically to the chaotic service. Everything took forever. Every fine dining restaurant that we have gone to, you are given a wine menu along with the food menu. We had to wait for that to be given to us. We ordered a bottle of wine and then proceeded to wait. The wine chiller showed up first then 10 minutes later the wine glasses finally arrived. Another 10 minutes and one of the servers then asked " Do you not have your wine ?" We placed our order and then we realized no one told us the specials, I heard someone mention specials so I then asked one of the servers (not knowing who actually was our server) and they said no one told you the specials ? The older gentleman that works there, I'm not sure if he is the owner or manager came over & told us the specials. He was speaking so quietly and with his heavy accent neither of us understood what the specials were so we just kept our order that we placed. We ordered the Formaggi & the Insalata Formaggi. The couple who were seated at least 15 minutes after us had their cocktails and also the Formaggi delivered to their table before we even had our bottle of wine. We also ordered the Carbonara and the Pollo Girasole. I just want to mention yes the food is delicious. But the disjointed service just distracted from the whole experience. It seems that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I would come back again but definitely sit at the bar where it seems you have a more personal experience.More

The quality of the food was good but the rude behavior of the waitress ruined our night. The also charged us 20% tip for this terrible service.

We sat at the bar. We are so happy we did. Benjamin, the Italian and Spanish speaking bartending was a joy : ) He made our cocktails perfectly and chatted with us about his travels. We started with the Tuna tartare & avocado; a must...try! Next was the Farfalle with smoked salmon; Amazing! For dessert the Zabionne; I'm still thinking about it!More
