Despite the other reviews, the Old Waterway Inn is a decent restaurant. The last time I was there I had chicken tortellini soup and salmon. Others in my group had stuffed flounder, prime rib, and chicken milanese. The soup was homemade but a bit spicy. The salmon was wonderfully prepared in a cream dill sauce. The chicken milanese was a... More

We received a $25 card as a gift, and decided to try it even after reading the sad reviews. Even with the $25 taken off our cost, we agreed that we would of been better off paying full price somewhere where the food was decent. The broccoli was over cooked and the 'broiled' flounder was soaked in butter. Definitely not... More

We were having dinner with another couple who had a wonderful experience there with the prior management. Our own experience had not been good the last time we went but we were willing to give the place another try. At 8 pm on a Saturday night and the place was almost empty!! That should have been our clue to leave.... More

Worst over priced restaurant around. Horrible food, service, witnessed people walking out, sending back horrible food and a waitress who had no clue about anything. Save your money and time. This place is terrible!

The mussels smelled very fishy and were the most sandy mussels I've ever eaten. The fried calamari was tough but we loved the creole roulade. Our dinner companion had a very soggy Cesare salad and I had the seafood special combination plate - the lobster was over cooked, the scallops, shrimp, and white fish (also cold) had no flavor. Our... More

Want to eat in a restaurant running on an outdoor generator because the power was shut off? This is your place. Want to eat in a restaurant where employees are not paid, the state has close to $20K in judgements while all food must be bought retail since no food service company will deliver to them? C'mon down IF they're... More

A disaster from A-Z. I would not recommend eating here under any circumstances. The first clue should have been the fixed menu, which was not the case in previous years, but we decided to give the new management a shot. First the drinks came out and one of the glasses had two dead flies in the ice. Foolishly we stayed... More

We went during restaurant week (limited menu of a few highlighted items) and it was terrible. The place was dirty, the toilet in the bathroom was broken and the owners children were running around throughout the meal at 9pm at night. However, the worst part was the food...out of items and very undercooked. In addition there was a strange aftertaste... More

The worst experience, It was nice 15 years ago now a group of con artists must run the place, It was restaurant week, over 3/4 of the tables very available but they tell you there is a wait so you buy drinks at the bar, limited menu, dinners were the size of appetizers, we were not allowed to see the... The Old Waterway Inn has been a staple with the local Atlantic City community since the early 1900's. Originally built by the Free Masons, it was known as the LuLu Temple Yacht Club. Take a stroll through time back to the place prohibition era gangsters used as a stopover before delivering their bootleg liquor. Sit by our fireplace on a chilly night while you gaze at the breathtaking view of the Atlantic City skyline and enjoy a taste of our new menu featuring a raw bar. Hang out on our deck on a balmy night to enjoy a burger or some oysters. Pull up on your jet ski or boat, and listen to the sounds of a reggae band. At the Old Waterway Inn, we promise to satisfy everyone! From the classic dishes to the most updated cuisine, we use only the freshest ingredients from local places. Stop by for a cocktail and appetizer and see what the buzz is about. Mile Marker 199 on the Intercoastal!
