Slightly overwhelmingly large industrial space, designed (I think) to resemble a German beerhall for the Oktoberfest! We were attracted by the promise of a variety of artisanal beers. The drinks menu delivered on that promise, and our waitress new each of the offerings in detail,...More

A fun place to go for a great beer and awesome pretzels! If you like German food, this is your place! Can be a little loud though.

The atmosphere overall is very chill. Inside, there are large wooden tables with benches throughout, as well as wooden barrels to sit and eat and drink at. My go-to drink is a rosé cider. My go-to food is either a soft pretzel or baked brie....More

Yeh, so it's a beer hall - but the noise level was outrageous! Extremely busy for a Tues., and staff couldn't keep up! Kitchen was slow - waitstaff over worked! Portions were huge - enough to share! Pretzel was a hit - toasted bread w/cheese...More

Description
Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten brings an authentic biergarten experience to Asbury Park, a tradition that Europeans have enjoyed for centuries - communal tables where friends and strangers mingle in a lively, friendly atmosphere, energized by a regular schedule of live music. The establishment features a 9,000 square foot outdoor rooftop Biergarten and 6,000 square foot indoor hall. We pour 31 premium draft beers and serve over 60 bottles, including American craft beers. The menu is classic biergarten fare with a focus on comfort foods from Austro-Hungaria, flavorful and perfectly executed by Executive Chef James Avery.
