These restaurants are throughout the city and are worth checking out. We went to the one just off Aomen Road by the Olympic Sailing Center but if you type Chuange...into Didi you can easily find the closest one to you! The dumplings are fantastic and...they have a solid variety but only three of them are pescatarian friendly as some are cooked with lard. The shellfish are good but quite a few are overpriced (29 yuan for one oyster or 19 yuan for one scallop). The clams are good and served in a nice spicy broth. They have a mixed dumpling plate that comes with variety of seafood dumplings. Be careful when ordering dumplings as many come with 18 dumplings per order. Our favourite dishes included the clams, green shrimp dumplings, scallop/green pepper dish and the fried prawns! The location I mentioned above has seating that overlooks the marina with patio and indoor options with AC. Great for an evening visit to see the skyscrapers of Qingdao light up and to see the many sailing boats go by. This location is by Yan'er Dao metro station. They say the three things that make for a perfect day in Qingdao are eating the clams, swimming in the ocean and drinking tsingtao beer and this is a perfect place to end or start that day!More

It's the first time for me to try the seafood dumplings, those with fish and conch stuff were so tasty. The spicy shellfish was my wife's favorite.

it's unique for the dumplings with fish and seafood dumplings, and others are various seafood. The dumplings are delicious, but takes a long waiting time compared with other food.

I ordered seafood and dumplings. All the food I ordered were delicious and tasty. Waiters and waitresses were willing to help even though they speak minimal English.

It’s the fourth time we come here. Absolutely our favorite Chinese seafood restaurant in Qingdao. Highly recommended!!!

My co-worker and I went to this restaurant on Sunday afternoon (no line, only 3 tables occupied)based on the reviews on TripAdvisor. We both don’t speak/understand Chinese and the restaurant has zero English speakers or English menu so we just pointed to the pictures on...the wall and also on TripAdvisor. To me, this restaurant is just a typical live seafood restaurant in China with decent dumpling. The food was a littler pricer than I expected. We ordered 4 plates without drink and the tab was 320rmb, thats almost 50usd. Maybe if we came there with someone speak Chinese, it would be better? I’ve been to many other live seafood restaurants in China (Dalian), this restaurant is just an average.More

If you are new to Qingdao and do not really know where to eat and are worried about this or that, look for the red fish. It is a dumpling/seafood restaurant that promises a decent enough meal for a modest price, usually fairly busy which...in China means the food is tasty. There are several branches throughout the city. Also while this restaurant is ranked number 2 on tripadvisor it does not rank in probably the top thirty restaurants in Qingdao as according to our internal rating systems.More

Highly recommended via TripAdvisor but a bit disappointing. It took us 45min to get a table due to some unclear ticketing system but what the heck; as long as the food is good. The special black dumplings filled with seafood are very nice indeed as...are the small spicy clams and flower beans. But the fish was over cooked, the octopus not cooked well enough. And the service poor.More
