The moment you walk in, you smell the wood burning oven. The pizzas did not disappoint and after trying out Italian in Shanghai, and coming from New York, this place serves pretty tasty and authentic pizzas. The staff are Italian and when we had went, the restaurant were filled with Italians. pizzas were average priced ($18-USD-$25 USD) and they have... More

Nice roasted chicken, terrible arancini. Stick to the usual stuff like roasted chicken, I'm not convinced they master italian cooking at all!

Good surprise during a 2 day visit in Suzhou for business. Good pizza and very friendly service. Not that cheap but average foreign food prices in China when you look at quality. Very friendly chef.

Local food is great but sometimes you want something familiar, and this pizza is the real taste of Southern Italian pizza. Warning: it gets totally packed on weekends so pick the time you go carefully outside of lunch and dinner times or you might have to queue

The prices are way too high and the portions and service are lacking. Do not bother with this place, try After Hours for better prices and good quality or Sisyria the pizza place at Xing Hai Square for cheap pizza.

I read a number of good reviews for MammaMia, and was naturally a little skeptical before trying it for myself. MammaMia lives up to the good word. I arrived and ate alone a bit early on Saturday night (6:15 or so) - the restaurant was only about 1/2 full, and I was seated immediately. The atmosphere was appealing - "nice... More

Three of us enjoyed our first visit to Mammamia. The quality of the produce (especially the olives - Sicilian we think), is excellent. The food presentation and ambiance is also very good. It may have just been our experience, but the 2 pizzas we ordered were both under baked, making the bases soggy and almost doe like in flavour. It... More

NIce and relaxed Italian restaurant in Shanghai's French Consession. Love the food and love that the place is not super trendy, so you can walk in and sit down without making a reservation days ahead. Staff is very friendly, welcoming you with a warm "Buona Sera"

Thank Malte S
