Pasta overcooked, this may be because of using half cooked pasta preapared in advance, quite some dispararity between menu description and what were served, generally do not convey italian flair and taste.

Together with my girlfriend we went to Mamma Mia for a pizza. We are both pizza lovers and we tried every pizza place in town. We weren't welcomed at all, it felt like we weren't even welcome to come in for dinner. The owner placed us somewhere in the back, pretty much out of view. I can't really understand why,... More

Made a mistake stopping in to see what this place was like. Didn't finish our dish and left. Would recommend skipping this one for the food. Service was not very good and the food was not palatable.

I have been living in China for many years and this is the worst "Italian" I have had. I went twice thinking the lunch I had was simply an off day, however the dinner I had with my friend a few days later was even worse, much worse. Over priced and quality is poor, not to mention the cold reception... More

I have been comming to Xiamen 4-8 times a year in the past 10 years, I have often visited Mamma Mia but it has really gone down hill for them! Tonight I was there with a group of 6 people - one of my coworkers where so excited to eat "real-Italian" so she took a picture of the menu to... More

Visitted mama mia with the expectation of good italian food at a reasonable price, like we are used to in our hometown in China. What we found was quite the opposite. The food was very average/poor compared to the very high prices. I would say a reasonable chinese restaurant can do a better job than this place. The wine was... More

Stopping at the Marco Polo, Mamma Mia is directly opposite. The food here is only average, although the Australian owner is very welcoming. It is comfortable, clean and has an extensive menu. I found pasta dishes to be more enjoyable than their pizza dishes. At the time I visited at the beginning of March 2014, there was no draught beer,... More
