For such a busy place the staff manages to keep a friendly attitude even towards tourists who speak little Spanish like myself. The choriquesos are delicious as well as the banana shakes. Although the sandwiches might look small they are actually super filling: I had 3 and that was enough to make a lunch for me!

I am very grateful to the hostel owner that directed us towards this place for breakfasts. The place is very crowded in the morning, but the wait is worth. Basically, the menu consists in mini-sandwiches and a drink. The most popular sandwiches are Choripan (chorizo, mayonnaise) and Choriqueso (chorizo, cheese, mayonnaise). The most popular drink, by far, is the milk... More

Very interesting place for quick and typical local sandwich in standing (or sometimes sitting) way. Very cheap as well. If you are in a hurry or need some good recharge for continuing the trip. Ask for the "choripan" with "leche con plátano"

I went to this "picada" because was named as top cheap place to eat in chile some years ago. The place is full so people seems to like the "Choripan" kind of sausage based preparation with bread. To be really honest is nothing great is just a regular quite tasty snack (very cheap) but you can skip in my opinion... More

A busy spot for locals and travellers alike, this place is worth it just for the banter with the staff and other diners! There are only really two options, choripan or choripan with cheese. We ordered 5 between two of us. The matriarch server laughed and said no, I need to order 6 as they're very small and I'm a... More

I never thought the weird combination of banana milk and chorizo sandwich would work.. but it totally did!!! The only problem is the space because there is always crowded and you have to eat standing or to go.

We came here for breakfast and ordered lunch to go as well. When I asked for the check, I noticed the price was over by 1000 pesos, didn't make much of it, and didn't feel like recounting. The check came out to be 7100 pesos, I gave a 20000 bill. The lady gave me change and ran away to the... More

This place has been know to prepare delicious bread with a paste of chorizo, nothing special is like expensive for a tiny bread with a chorizo paste, you can choose with cheese or without.

Well there really is not much more to say about the Kiosko Roca, but this being one of the places and experiences that I go travel for. Nothing fancy or expensive, nothing artificially touristic or staged. Just a simple gang of local elderly women that prepare sandwiches and milkshakes in the same way that the joint has done in over... More

Kiosko Roca is tradition. You cannot get more local than going there and ordering the sandwich with the banana milk. It will be busy (always is) so patience is key. Dont forget to enjoy the environment. lots of commemorative photos and items.
