Situated in the grounds of New Hope school, this training restaurant offers practical experience for local would be chefs. And what a brilliant experience. The food was delicious and very high quality (western and asian) and we arrived at lunchtime just as all the kids were in the playground. Funded by volunteer workers, charities, Rotary the school offers education to... More

We took 24 people to the resturant to support the innitiative of helping Cambodian people learn new skills. It was a wonderful evening and we really enjoyed the food, even ate crickets! The host gave us a really informative talk about the restaurant and training facility. Well worth the visit and the food was really good.

Went with Gadventures tour. Such a great place with onsite school and medical services for children. Great idea to help children get into the tourism industry jobs. Food was 5 dishes all served at once. Different Khmer cuisine but no choice of menu as it was set. The nibbles were crisps and crickets which were interesting. Service was great and... More

Ate here as part of my G Adventure tour in Cambodia. Food was good. The area is economically depressed however this place offers hope. It's good to give back.

This place has been set up to provide education for impoverished local children. The restaurant enables them to learn practical cooking and restaurant service skills to enable them job opportunities in the bigger towns and cities. The food was superb, even the crickets!!! Well worth a visit and tastes better knowing your helping others at the same time.

Ate here with our travelling group yesterday. Although tucked out of the way well worth the tuk-tuk ride to get there. Very good food, well served with a nice ambience, for Cambodia that is. With the great plus that you are supporting a good local charity and helping local people gain new skills and becoming more employable whereby that can... More

It's a difficult place to find, especially after rains when the mud tracks around the location create deep pools that even tuktuk drivers refuse to go through. It's also a long way (15-20mins) from the center of Siem Reap if you are staying there. However, it's always worth the effort to support a good cause like this. The welcome and... More

A cause worth supporting! Dinner was incredible, even tried a deep fried cricket (not sure I'll do that again😂) loved meeting the learners and seeing how this cause has contributed to their lives! The dinner was delicious and the service was outstanding! SUPPORT THIS CAUSE 💜

We ate several meals at the New Hope Restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the well-prepared, tasty dishes! Their fruit shakes are also delicious!

Description
New Hope Cambodia is a grass roots, rapidly growing Non-Government Organisation (NGO) run by a dedicated individual, a local Khmer called Sot Suo (Kemsour). The focus of New Hope is 'free education for all' as the founders recognise the vital role education plays in helping break the cycle of poverty. The school provides English, maths, computer technology and sewing lessons, free, to over 750 children and adults from Mondul 3, Siem Reap...one of the poorest slum areas in Cambodia. New Hope's clinic also treats up to one hundred residents each day for burns, wounds, salmonella poisoning, infections and illnesses such as malnutrition, HIV, hepatitis, typhoid, tuberculosis and dengue fever and, as part of their focus, New Hope also operates a traditional Khmer Training Restaurant under the expert guidance of ex-Foreign Correspondents’ Club Head Chef, Srey Mom.
