As we drove pass the guys playing soccer in the middle of the dirt road I searched for some indication of the restaurant, nothing obvious, just a small sign and a narrow entrance to a stairway. After a flight of stair one enters a plain room with chairs, not impressive. A staff member escorts us directly to the food which... More

I don't know where they got this picture, (white plate, lemon zest, greens) but this place is a hole-in-the-wall local cafeteria-style joint. Which doesn't mean it's bad -- it's not! -- but this is not the right picture! The restaurant is off a main street, on a dirt road, with chickens and goats outside. Tables covered with thick plastic sheets.... More

Local dishes, good atmosphere, much used by locals for lunch and dinner, also a good place to meet people.

So the picture tells it all. Home made. The aroma of the food alone is filling before order is delivered

Good food. local and international meals. Price is moderate. Staff are polite. Location is central. Moe space needed as the restaurant is a bit crowded during lunch hours.

If you are hungry enough to try the very local Beninese food you must go there. Specially if you are up for lunch and no time to eat, you can go there to have ready made food. The exterior may may frighten you, but you'll get good and neat food at a reasonable price. The have big fishes and chickens.

Went yesterday with wife and mother in law, both beninise. i always trust them, they never mess around with food. there is a large sort of hot buffet section where you choose your food before seating down. no ac but large ceiling fans which makes it slightly more bearable. heat and humidity here are not to be taken lightly. i... Not a very cosy restaurant, food was fine but not exceptional. Maybe a little strange for western tastes (eg. fish and cowskin in a stew). Staff not very helpful, and confusion about whether or not we could sit upstairs. There are much better local restaurants

Amazing sized portions and well presented, in a self service type environment. The fish that is produced here was delicious and all menus were local foods, so were spicy but delicious. I would definitely go back here again for the fried fish..... Awesome!!! I had the jollof rice and fish. Superbly presented and enough for two people.
