My family and I stopped in Ann Arbor on our way to Canada and decided to hit up Evergreen. The exterior is nothing to write home about but the restaurant itself was super busy and Service was slow as a result (as one might expect on a Sat night). Still we were seated right away and the waitress was pleasant.... More

Did you ever finish a meal, feel full but not remember a single flavor? Perhaps ordering from the English menu was our mistake. After visiting China on business for years I feel that I know the flavors of China. Evergreen's hot and sour soup was fairly bland and was served a bit over room temperature. Staff said that was OK.... More

I enjoyed the authentic Chinese food here a lot. Had 10 different dishes for the family. Enjoyed it a lot.

I went there with a friend for a dinner and I found out they expended with new atmosphere. Their mean includes all kinds of Chinese food specially with Sichuan food. The food are ok for me and I just felt the amount of sauce they put in each dish was too much for me. The service are average since we... More

I lived in Shanghai for three years so I got to experience first hand some excellent Chinese food. But two of my favorites I haven't really found a place that makes them as well as there. They aren't exotic dishes, both are vegetables dishes. One is Yu Hsiang Egg Plant with Egg‎ plant, water chestnuts, wood ear, green onions in... More

Its quality Chinese food if you order from the Chinese menu. But, its that awful sugary Midwestern Chinese food if you don't. The first time that I went I had Garlic Bak Choym Salt & Pepper Shrimp, Mushi Pork with Plum sauce, and some other dishes that we shared, including a very nice Hot&Sour soup. The next that I went,... As I ate my egg drop soup at dinner their last night a house fly began to emerge. I showed it to the waitress, she saw the fly and was as grossed out as our party of four was. She took the bowl to show the manager and asked if I wanted another cup of egg drop soup. I said... More

Expect quality food, but poor service. Which is why I gave this a 3. We've actually came back because the food is so good! They seat you, take your order, bring you your food and do not return until you flag someone down for your check. Be prepared for Horrible service. Ask for anything you think you may need with... My husband and I went to this restaurant several years ago and found it depressing and the food substandard. It has been renovated and is now really pleasant and the food is much improved. We now count this as our favorite Chinese restaurant in Ann Arbor.

We've been to Evergreen dozens and dozens of times over the years; when it was smaller and now nicely expanded. We live on the Westside of Ann Arbor and usually frequent Gourmet Garden but when we're in the North Campus area we often stop in for lunch at Evergreen. We were there today. The owner/manager was there, too. This man... More
