The staff here are very friendly, the food usually excellent, and the prices are reasonable. My favorites are the omelets and the hot sandwiches. The turkey hot sandwich is the best!!!!

We had breakfast at Petticoat Junction on the morning of August 18th. I had scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast & coffee. My wife tried the vegetable omelette. My breakfast was really good. The hash browns were tender but crisp and the eggs and bacon cooked just the way I like them. The price was similar to breakfast in the... More

I came here for a quick lunch before making a long drive back to MO. It's attached to a gas station, and I hadn't expected anything great, but was wrong! I would up ordering blueberry pancakes, and my boyfriend ordered the petticoat platter. The pancakes were more than enough food, and tasted wonderful. The petticoat platter was plentiful and tasty.... More

This is a nice diner to enjoy a breakfast. The prices were very reasonable and the service was friendly. I recommend an omlet. I had a smoked ham, swiss cheese and mushroom one and it was very, very good. The pancakes it came with were OK but a little too thick for what I like. You might want to go... More

The food is actually pretty good - typical diner food. Good breakfast selection, but also all kinds of sandwiches and daily specials. Service was good, maybe a little slow on the coffee refills. The location really doesn't have much to brag about - the restaurant is attached to a gas station and looks a little rough. The vast majority of... More

Petticoat Junction is on M-46 near Alma MI. This is a family type restaurant featuring American food at a friendly price, I live about 10 miles from the restaurant and eat there at least weekly, The help is pleasant and friendly, food is good. The restaurant shares the building with a truck stop so parking is no problem.

My husband wanted to stop here, because he liked the name. Red flag number one is when you have to enter a restaurant through a gas station. But I tried to be a good sport. I ordered the special steakhouse burger and homemade chips. The homemade potato chips were very good. Much to my surprise the burger came covered in... More
