Thank you Trip Advisor reviewers without your reviews we would never have found this gem. Quite possibly the best restaurant I have visited. I cannot find a single flaw. The place was filled with families and couples, tourists and locals. It was simply perfect. If you are in Dubai you must give this a try you will not regret eating... More

A bit touristy but really very pleasant! Welcoming staff, attractive setting and a good selection of nicely prepared local dishes. Worth a stop when showing visitors the Old City.

We were looking for something close to our hotel and stumbled upon this cute cafe/restaurant that has outdoor seating in wicker chairs and curtains draped over for atmosphere and sun protection. Ended up going back the next morning for breakfast too!

We had dinner at Arabian Tea cafe. Salad with our food was so good i asked for extra which they gladly obliged. Lamb ribs were the best I have ever tasted anywhere. Avocado shake was sooo delicious. Lovely ambience and the staff were excellent in checking on your table and taking care of all diners. We returned on a friday... More

In the bur dubai area, the ambience is beautiful under a arbor of trees, which is great even on a warm day. The food felt really authentic and was yummy. We really loved the atmosphere and the tables were well spaced out. The pricing was on the higher side, though I felt it was reasonable given the quality of food... More

Nice little cafe with a collection of crafts and a small museum. Great place to idle away a bit of time at the weekend.

A beautiful courtyard setting and an extensive menu. The 'Arabian nights' tea was delicious. A little pricey (53AED/ £11) for a pot of tea and a slice of cake but it was a huge pot of tea and an enormous piece of very good cake. Very friendly welcome and good service. All in all would highly recommend though as long... More

Such pretty place to be at. It is unfortunate that summer here is too hot because you wouldn't be able to enjoy this place as much during summer. It is soo pretty while the weather is cool and breezy. Serving traditional Arabic food and an endless selection of tea for all the tea lovers. Everything tasted ooh so yummy!!! The... More

Had this tea house recommended by a friend so we stopped for lunch on our way to the souks of Dubai. The food was delicious and not expensive, the portions are large and the bread was replaced with new fresh hot bread as soon as we finished the one we had. The staff were really friendly, helpful and attentive but... More

I lucked into the Arabian Tea House. All I knew was that I was hungry after a half-day of walking the sights on both sides of the creek, I came upon the restaurant and liked the look and menu enough to check the reviews on my phone. I'm glad I did. Being a single helped me get a table without... More

Staying in The Creek

Neighbourhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
