This was a convenient stop after some shopping in City Walk, which is a new development in Dubai. As it was morning there were not many people around. People tend to go out more in the evenings here. We sat outside in the shade & our Turkish coffees soon arrived. It was good coffee made & served in the traditional... More

The coffee I didn't think is so good but the bread was delicious. Price was so so... There seems to be a papa roti in every mall but I would recommend Gloria Jean for coffee over this place

Heard a lot about Pappa Roti. Service is good, and price is reasonable. Ordered the nutella almond nut bun with a latte. Very filling and great combination. The kids had a vanilla milkshake and a nutella bun, which they enjoyed. Its a nice place to go for a quick bite after dinner or lunch,

This is a cafe that offers a soft bun that you can top with whatever you like. Can be cheese, honey, Nutella, you choose. You can have this along with a coffee or tea, many more drink choices exist. They have several branches including Dubai mall and Mirdif city Centre. Really creative, light, and delicious. Recommended!

Apparently I had no idea Dubai was so big on cafes. While roaming The Dubai Mall we noticed an unusually long long line at this cafe on the 2nd floor. Curiosity got the best of us when we noticed that everyone sitting down had this delightful brown bun on the table. Long story short, the coffee coated buns, which had... More

Visited the branch in Sharjah. Very nice decor and the service was brilliant. The buns were delicious. I always visit the branch when I am in Sharjah on holiday.

To call the offering buns is unfair. Its a level higher or several levels higher. Papa roti buns could be considered more like dessert - they are quiet sweet especially the crispy caramel tops make it sweet and ummm so delicious. The buns are freshly baked every few minutes and the soft centres with butter or other gooey fillings are... More

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
