While I stayed in the city I ate at this restaurant/cafe. I went as part of group on ten and the service was very good. I went during the evening which was nice but with it being by the river I would image that it would also be a great location for dinner or lunch. The bakery as it is... More

A really lovely place with fantastic views over the Mekong. The place feels really cosy and the food is great - freshly prepared and with a great menu with plenty of veggie options. The service was really warm and friendly. We will definitely be back here - a great place to eat and a lovely place to hang out!

Looking for a reasonable place to eat lunch and kill some time before meeting friends we came across this place. No longer Phakdee bakery but Bakery cafe. The service was excellent- there were no tables in the shade so the waiter put up an umbrella. The table was wobbly so without asking he fixed it. Service was quick considering 1... More

We had a late lunch here, and we're unfortunately disappointed with the food. Hopefully the owners can up their game and improve things for future patrons. As an indication, my daughter loves and eats most versions of spaghetti bolognaise. She couldn't eat it. The garlic bread was too dry and the spring rolls were sub par. All feedback given in... Phakdee Bakery is a great little place on the river, for breakfast. A selection of bagels, croissants and baguettes is served along with tasty fresh fruit salads and muesli. The staff are friendly and can manage a little bit of English. The prices are a little steep but good for this quality. The ambience is peaceful.

This restaurant is on the terrace next to the Mekong river. I visited it twice while I was in Luang Prabang. The first time I ordered a chicken noodle soup and I liked it so much that I went back and ordered it again with the addition of some fried spring rolls. Both were delicious. I enjoyed the food here... More

We found this cosy place by chance. It is runby a young local couple and offers not only delicious breakfast but also lunch and great dinner. We walked up and down the street and came always back to this place. It is not a one of the fancy restaurants visited by the all inclusiv tour buses but provides cosy charme... More

I stayed in the adjoining guesthouse and ate here everyday. Food was tasty, lots to choose from. The location was great with views across the Mekong. Recommended.

Despite the name 'Bakery' this place is a typical restaurant on the strip of riverside terrace restaurants nearish the public ferry port. It is good for breakfast, lunch and dinner, has a happy 2 hours from 5 to 7pm on cocktails and wine. The food - Lao, European etc. is good and reasonably-priced and the service is also good. Try...
