We ended up spending there very long time as it was so comfortable to sit by the riverside terrace! The food was good and service great. It is really worth visiting even it's bit outside the town if you want to have bit more peaceful place to eat.

food was great and the setting is unbeatable: lovely patio overlooking the river with gorgeous decor. A bit out of the way, but the shop's shuttle will get you back and forth.

We visited to check out the place and were not disappointed. Great views by the river, lovely food, and the best of it all, we got to watch the staff weaving silk materials to make scarves. Wonderful experience.

Fantastic restaurant in an absolutely beautiful setting with a view on the Mekong River. Very relaxing and well shaded environment to enjoy your meal surrounded by culture and textiles. The food is delicious and you can choose from Laotian dishes, western, and a few others in between. Don't miss the free tour of the Ock Pop Tok Living Arts Center!... More

Upon recommendation of the hotel we were in, drove to Silk Road Cafe to check their hand woven products. The place is one and the same as Ock Pop Tok and we were glad to have visited. Aside from the menu, there were a lot of traditional items on display. We had a nice time observing the local weavers doing... More

Had a late breakfast in the cafe - lovely food, great service and an amazing view. I would go as far to say that the cafe here, having such a wonderful view, was one of the best I've ever been to!

There are two Silk Road Cafes. One is in the main part of town near the Ock Pop Tok shop. I had cappuccino ere every morning and often breakfast, too. They have a wonderful menu with delicious choices including chicken stuffed lemon grass -- one of the most delicious Lao foods. Their fresh spring rolls are also fabulous. Their other... More

Jan 27 This resto is a convenient stop for lunch before continuing on to the Kuang Si Waterfall. Just as our Hotel Mekong Riverview is about the furthest eastern point on the Luang Prabang peninsula, this resto is located on the western side away from the tourist zone. Before we ate lunch we visited a large local open market, Phousi... More

Msg them on FB last minute for a table for lunch and got a reply almost immediately. Can't think of a better way to spend VD sitting on the terrace by the river in this peaceful locale. Only a quick 15 min walk form the Luang Say Residence where we were staying. Good change from the in-town scene. Ordered the... More

We went for their Thursday night moonlight cinema, which was great fun! You pay 70.000 for free tuk-tuk to and from their craft center, dinner and dessert. Drinks not included. It was such a nice evening and a great evening-activity. If you are in Luang Prabang on a thursday, go by their store in town and check out what movies... More
