We went consecutively 3 nights for drinks & wifi as this restaurant has a wider frontage with more outdoor seating which we preferred. We tried dinner for one of the nights, food is average. Waiters are friendly and will try to speak up a convo.

This restaurant was just setting up for dinner when I got there but I was seated right away. I ordered the fried chicken and chips as I was in the mood for western food and it was quite good. Also had the lemon ice and it was yummy. No complaints. I think I may have gotten ripped off on the... More

This is supposedly the oldest family run restaurant in Luang Prabang. But the selection of food is limited and the taste is average. The pricing is similar to the other restaurants neaby. Free wifi provided but you will find it challenging to get connected.

Local food, but not very good quality. The green papaya salad had obviously been prepared some time ago. Other dishes bland. Far better restaurants around.

This may be the oldest family owned restaurant in Luang Prabang, but it is certainly not the best or even close. We wandered in here after a nearby traditional ballet performance, but should have wandered past. The service was incredibly slow and the three menu entrees we ordered were barely recognizable from their names or descriptions. The deep fried pork... More

We found the main street to be a bit of a tourist trap in that it sold mediocre food to hungry travellers, and this place was certainly one of those! The place was busy, which would normally put us off, however we went in anyway as we were fed up off walking around. We ordered noodles & a burger and... More

Seriously overpriced for the quality of the food and bearing in mind that its not expensive that says a lot. The steak is really appalling and the onion soup is more like boiled onion water :( Very disappointing...

I am not sure why this place doesn't have more reviews, given how busy it is and its location on the main road. We found the food tasty, with good portions at a reasonable price. They even had proper green tea, none of that tea bag business. However, this is not a place where you can pay in dollars. Some... More

The Yong Khoune Restaurant was fine for a filling plate of rice at a time when most restaurants seemed to be closing for the night. We had spent so much time in the night market we'd forgotten to eat, so ended up here twice. On the first occasion we both had fried rice with spring rolls which was cheap and... More

This is the oldest family run restaurant in Luang Prabang established in 1960, so the sign told us! It was pretty busy while we were there and we sat outside. It has an expansive menu, I went for garlic prawns with rice and my boyf had the spicy chicken larb with rice. The food was extremely tasty but the portions... More
