The Cafe Ban Vat Sene was a real base for our family during our trip to LP. We stopped for coffee and a couple of meals, as the in addition to good service they had food for the whole family (including a surprisingly good pizza 'La Paysanne' and excellent bread). Good service and well worth a visit.

Perfect pit-stop, with a fine ambience, generous layout, newspapers, free wifi, an exquisite espresso and tarte au citron. Plus a discerning lunch menu.

Visited twice shared a vegetarian pizza very tasty and we enjoyed the change from local fare. Second visit had a chicken curry lots of flavor and quite substantial served with rice. You have the choice of dining in or out.

I ate here three times while in Luang Prabang and it was always great. Food was well prepared and presented, and very tasty. excellent coffee too. I watched as deliveries of fresh eggs, milk, etc. were made. Service was excellent. Not too expensive. Great French colonial atmosphere, for example, each table had a vintage wrought iron lamp, I'll visit again!

I am actually sitting in the cafe as I write this review. We stopped here for a late breakfast and nearly three hours later I am still here. The pastries and cakes are delicious. I had a croissant with ham and cheese, followed by a tarte au citron (a calories overload perhaps) but they were both delicious and full or... More

I went in search of a burger and had a terrible, nearly in edible one in Pilgrim Cafe ( I reviewed it). I nearly gave up but the craving was still there so I took a chance here. It was a GREAT choice! I was actually asked how I wanted my meat cooked. A real hamburger arrived to my table!... More

I wish I had found this lovely cafe earlier in our stay. Once I found it, I made sure my friend and I had coffee there on our last two days in Luang Prabang. The staff are very friendly and service is excellent, as is the strong black coffee. I tried a couple of their pastries and particularly enjoyed the... More

We had lunch here and both Lao hot and sour soup and the river weed quiche were delicious. Service was friendly and efficient.
