When in LP usually we dined at more relaxing restaurants but this was a new year choice and we were very happy!

Nice enough but some of the reviews I’ve read on this place give the false impression that it’s amazing. It’s ok, better than some in LP, but honestly I can’t say more.

Went there for lunch, staff are great , super friendly with a bit shy. I order pork chop and unfortunately it’s too well done which mean it very hard even cut by knife. So staff are 5 Stars but food 4 star and WiFi doesn’t...More

Excellent service, food and wine. We took the dried buffalo snack and salad. Both were so tasty. Wine was so amazing, we really miss good wine in Asia.

Beautiful location and outstanding food. I'd seen the good reviews on TripAdvisor and I wasn't disappointed. Had Coq au Vin and although it wasn't quite what I expected it exceeded it! Chicken off the bone and plenty of very tasty bacon was getting busy by...More

I took two friends to this restaurant at the advise of a travel writer friend and was rather disappointed with the food being fairly ordinary. The Staff however were very efficient so it was not a bad experience but I wont rush back here

Mediocre food - the restaurant certainly does not live up to its reputation; we were not impressed by any of the dishes that we ordered - quiche starter, fish, ravioli.

After moving to a table inside away from the mosquitos, we had an excellent meal. The place lived up to the hype and effort to make a reservation on multiple nights. Food was high quality, predictable, and delicious. Friendly and helpful staff. Kid friendly despite...More

Following my friend's advice, we decided to check this place out. It turned out to be our favorite meal over 2 weeks in South East Asia. FOOD (around 30£ per person inc. cocktails) We decided to splash out that night, treating ourselves to the set...More

Description
Located in a building from the 60s, near the banks from the Mekong, the Restaurant “L'Elephant” offers an essentially "falang" (French) Menu with a small selection of Lao Dishes since 2000. From the home-made charcuterie to the duck breast roasted with “Mak Toum” or the Burgundy snails, L'Eléphant offers you original French family style cuisine. L'Eléphant restaurant cooks typical Lao dishes for you; dried meats and river weed as an aperitif, soups, grills or fish wrapped in banana leaves… Home-made breads and pastries, wines, spirits, ciders and a selection of beers complete the offer of this old-fashioned restaurant, chic, classy yet simple with its wooden floors and local wooden furniture. Relaxed atmosphere; casual attire! Open daily for lunch and dinner! Home made pastries and drinks all the day long ! You can choose from the à la Carte, our set menus or opt for the daily menu (110 000 kips for 3 dishes)! We are looking forward to welcome you!
