Bura was strong and we decided to find a lee in the center. facing the sun, we came across the Square of St. Stosija. In front of us a beautiful church and square and after 10 minutes we were in short sleeves. Coffee is great but the ice cream was really exceptional . Cakes I have not tried it but... More

We did not know about the place but stopped there incidentally. Impressed by the wide variety of choice we tried four different flavours each (eight in total) and every one was really tasty, creamy and gentle. Tried many other places further but no comparison! We'll go back there when next time in Zadar.

As someone from zadar I can't describe how good the ice cream of this place is compared to others. It's a must visit, just like all the churches and other attractions!

We have been waiting for Donat ice cream for a year. It was our obligatory stop whenever we have been in Croatia. The ice cream used to be simply delicious. So when this year we visited Zadar it was the first place we went to. I can't describe how disappointed we were when we got ice cream that did not... More

Ice cream rules in Croatia! And, when in Zadar, Donat has the reputation of being the very best. We didn't try another place as we were more than satisfied with their dark chocolate.....join the crowds who walk around town all day and evening with ice cream cones in all flavors.....it's THE thing to do when in Croatia. But beware, it... More

We too were recommended Sladoledi Donat by our tour guide,Sime.Yes,ice-cream in Croatia is usually very good and so cheap. But this place elevates ice-cream to a higher level:the one I chose,Don Vito(named,of course, after the mafia boss)looked and tasted truly delicious- the best we've ever tasted!:and only 80 Kuna for a huge scoop! In contrast,ice-cream in England just cannot compare, and often means rip-off... Our walking tour guide, Sime, recommended this shop and he was correct in doing so. Delicious flavours and probably the best we have had thus far in Croatia.

Donat ice creams are fresh and delicious. There is a variety of flavors for everyone's liking. I enjoyed snickers and dark chocolate. It's on a great location by the cathedral and there are even tables to sit outside. It's worth to wait in line!

Best ice cream (sladoled) we've ever had in our entire life. We are from Portland, Oregon with tons of famous ice cream places and none even comes close to the delicious ice cream at this place. Also, we evidently made an impression on the staff here when we came back 3 times in roughly 36 hours who insisted that our... More

Very nice place. There is the best ice cream in Zadar town. Its near of parking places by the sea. You can sit on terase in centre of town and eat super ice cream.
