Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We particularly chose this restaurant as I am celiac and we had read they do good gluten free pizza bases. We didn't book and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. There are not many and they are located near the Jesuit Stairs...or "walk of shame steps" so very popular and a great people watching location. The waitress efficiently managed the queue so the wait wasn't too long. Once at our table she was really helpful. She explained that whilst they make every effort to avoid cross contamination with gluten, separate preparation, separate trays and they try to keep them apart in the oven their pizza oven is small and it couldn't be guaranteed. This was reassuring and as much as we can do in our kitchen at home. We asked her for a local wine recommendation and she explained three in detail, the bottle we went for was very good. The pizza's we had, gluten free and normal, were both excellent with generous toppings. Of the seven nights we ate in the old town this was the cheapest and probably the best value. Great food, good value, knowledgeable and helpful staff, definitely highly recommended.More

Saw a long queue for this pizza so stopped to ask if we could takeaway. Reasonably priced at 13euros we got a salami pizza to take back to the room. Good quality food for a good price

We did takeaway based on a recommendation of our boat tour guide. He told us his family does takeaway all the time amd loves Castro. This was the best deal in old town. We got a pizza to take back to our AirBnB for 13...euros. An maxing deal in the old town - pizza had fresh ingredients, delicious crust and plenty for my wife and I. Highly recommend dining in or takeaway!More

Note this is not authentic Italian Pizza. Very ordinary. I would not recommend this place for an authentic Italian pizza. Go to a Italian restaurant instead.

The salad was spot on: fresh, big and tasty. The pizza we ordered was one of the best we had this summer in Croatia/Montenegro. The place is located at the bottom of the famous stairs from the "Game of Thrones" set. The service was also...very good.More

Today, my hasband and I dined at this restaurant, and the food was below average. We ordered a pizza that had a very tough crust and resembled more of a bakery-bought slice rather than a restaurant-quality pizza. The staff was highly unprofessional; the waitress spent...the time between orders gossiping about previous guests quite loudly, which disrupted our meal. The only redeeming aspect was the location, but that is certainly not the restaurant's merit.More

We came to this pizzeria because until recently, it was well-known that local guests had a 50% discount. However, after receiving the bill without any discount, the waitress told us that it was only for regular customers! I dont know who is authorised for checking...and establishing a criterion of regularity but if this is how they treat local people, i can only imagine how “friendly” they are with strangers. We asked if we could take the remaining pizza we didn't finish, and she brought a box and left it on the table for us to pack ourselves, which is the most embarrassing thing I've ever experienced in a pizzeria. The pizza was just about average or even less than that: small, thin, and tasted nothing special, it's atleast 50 % overpriced. Since we didn't meet the strict criteria of a "regular customers," we are now becoming never again customers!"More

This is my fourth time here. Great ambiance. Very cordial clean and polite. I am a frequent traveler and a tuna lover. They probably make the best “Pizza al Tonno” in Dubrovnik. I am back!!!

I would have given it 5 stars for the pizzas, which were delicious, BUT the garlic bread was a joke: two slices of cheap white sliced bread, slightly over-toasted, with not enough garlic butter. Also, the service wasn't the best, and they happily served my...young- looking 26 year old daughter an Aperol Spritz but brought her a Kinder Bueno rather than a Lemoncello with the bill!More

I have so many Pizzas in my life and I can honestly say this Pizzeria is the best I have ever visited in my entire life. The Pizza is so tasty, fresh and delicous, that my eyes filled with tears after the first taste. I...am not not kidding! The taste, the quality of Mozarella cheese or tomato sauce was outstanding! Our waiter Kemo was so gentle, friendly and proffesional! Thank you so much for your kindness and your outstanding Pizzas. See you soon😉More

The 3 of us sat down at one of few tables that was NOT reserved. The waiter Kemo ran up to us without saying hello, very rudely humiliated us and insolently chased us away in front of the other guests of the restaurant, saying that...we took the table for some tourists (Kemo said that two tourists were waiting even though we didn’t saw them also there were two more larger unreserved tables) and said with a sneer that we sat down for a dirty table (I admit that was our fault). humiliated, we politely left the table. The agreement could have been reached with a more polite conversation! Background story We (local people) have a discount in the restaurant, and because of that we are not welcome and are often chased away in a rude manner in order to make way for a tourist who will pay a much higher price. Monkey business!More

Great pizza finally! After trying some really average pizza in the town. This place came at a nice surprise. It's a nice location in a lovely part of the town and not many seats available. Staff were great and attentive and the pizza which is...the main event was brilliant. Both of us had pizzas and we were both quite satisfied and overall really well made pizzas. Definitly recommend checking this plate out if you want well cooked and good flavoured pizzasMore

Very busy place right next to the steps an friendly service. It would be nice if they used a more original pizza base other than the rather crispy bread-based consistency we found here (and in another place earlier in the week). Well worth a visit.
