The hospitality was amazing!!!! Slaven recommended the fresh caught sea bass. OMG!!! When it arrived my mouth was watering from the fresh butter garlic aroma he filleted the fish and pour fresh butter garlic over it and it was everything he said it would be. Amazing!!!!

We visited Bura for a drink as we were taking a stroll around the Old Town and was served by Slaven who we had a lovely chat with, discussed his evening menu and some other recommendations during our stay in Dubrovnik.
With our quite complex dietary requirements with one being seafood-curious and the other being a veggie we for sure knew that Bura was where we would be coming back to.
We are so glad we did. A couple of nights later we were greeted by Marin and the amazing team. We were absolutely blown away by the whole experience - we were given a detailed break down of the menu and our needs were catered to and more, the food was out of this world for both of us and you can really tell the quality of the ingredients and a lot of thought has gone into the food. The staff really take care of you and are very attentive, super super friendly and genuine. We don’t normally write reviews but this place definitely warrants the highest of recommendations and should be the first and the last place you go when visiting Dubrovnik, it will always be our go-to when coming back to visit!
For reference, we got the Gnudi and the Shrimp and Calamari dish.

Our waitress Despina looked after us from the second we arrived. It was raining and she was determined to find us somewhere well sheltered. I mentioned I’d wanted to try orange wine for a while so she insisted she brought a taste before i ordered a full glass. She saved me some money there as I didn’t like it - a great example of the wine, just not to my tastes. I had a Nanhattan that was perfect and my wife had the raspberry cooler which was great.
We were going to go for the same starters but she suggested we had different things as there was plenty to share. The sardines we were going to have, with the smoky mayonnaise, we’re delicious but if she hadn’t urged us to have different stuff we would have missed the best chicken liver parfait ever, with the kumquat relish and pickled shards of beet that made all the difference. The swordfish we chose for mains was perfectly seasoned and beautifully cooked and the white wine (there isn’t a massive choice of wine, it’s just really well selected) complemented it perfectly.
We ordered dessert and the semi fredo was just right. I may have mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary so we left with best wishes and a determination to come back soon. We were delighted to have been looked after so well by Despina backed by a kitchen and bar team that kept the logistics and quality 100 per cent excellent.

Came in last night for our first dinner in Dubrovnik. This restaurant exceeded all expectations ✨ When we ordered, we asked for a wine recommendation and were greeted personally by the owner. He provided excellent feedback on what to order and stayed to chat with us. The food and drinks were absolutely phenomenal! Featured in the photo below is the braised lamb with gnocchi, beef fillet, swordfish with green beans, and the 25 day aged ribeye. Try the strawberry amaretto sour, it is to die for! Desserts are a must as well to incorporate the history of the city ♥️

Had an amazing dinner outside in Old Town Dubrovnik. Gnudi appetizer followed by the grilled sea bass for 2 deboned and presented expertly by our waiter- a super fun gentleman. 2 great cocktails, also. Negroni and margarita. Lovely evening

We visited Bura for a meal & we enjoyed it so much we decided to bring a group of 10 friends along the following week. The food & drinks are excellent and the service was exceptional. A special mention to Desi who looked after us on both visits, she is a superstar a credit to this restaurant ☺️ highly recommended anyone to go here whilst in Dubrovnik!

An amazing lunch with Slavan taking care of us! The sea bass recommendation was incredible and even the picky child among us loved it. So friendly and a great atmosphere. You must go!!

If you want to try something with local ingredients but with a fun twist this would be the place to visit! The menu is short but has a little bit of everything, fish, meat, seafood, burger, and some tapas like appetizers which are perfect for sharing! The positive surprise came from both the look and taste of the food. Service was also too kind and informative, we didn't have to wait long for anything and everyone had a smile on their face. Overall among the most positive experiences I've had in restaurants. I highly recommend!
P.S. they have great cocktails, which go very well with the food! (My favourite was the seafood caldretti)

Excellent restaurant, exceptional food and wine was fantastic, very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.
We were a party of 10 with a small baby, staff were very quick to accommodate us for lunch, the recommendations for food and wine were excellent, Seabass for two was delicious and so fresh, highly recommended. I will return with a big thanks to Slaven, from the Irish wedding party.

We ended up taking three main meals for two people because the portion size is small for a bigger hunger, but this seems to be true to most of the restaurants in the old town area.
The sea bass was good but the potatoes that came with it were too dry and underseasoned. The portion didn't include any sauce and just a couple of grilled veggies, so it wasn't a good experience overall.
The lamb dish with gnoccis was a lot tastier but too simple for a restaurant level dish, like the kind of basic meat sauce you can cook at home.
And the bacon burger was a huge disappointment. The overall flavor just didn't offer anything, there was no balance of savory, salty and sweet like you get with good burgers that have a quality meat patty, great sauces and perhaps caramelized onions or something.
I ordered the patty well done but it was way over cooked, chewy like a rubber ball. Firstly, the waiter didn't ask what level of cooked I wanted the burger, a bad sign, but also when they asked my experience and I told them honestly but politely, they laughed a little bit at me, shook their head in disbelief and said that it was my fault for asking it well done. But well done doesn't mean a solid rubber slice.
In addition, their lemonade wasn't lemonade but just water with too much lemon juice.
However, the hostess was warm and welcoming and the athmosphere is nice, but wouldn't sadly go again because of the food quality especially in regards to the prices.

Lovely evening with my husband and our friends. We are all very picky about food, tried everything on the menu and everything was delicious. Very creative food with audacious fusion twist. The chef definitely know what he or she is doing!
Staff was super friendly and very professional. Owner gave us great directions with wine recommendations, oooh he is a wine expert and was happy to answer on all our questions!
+ I love cathedrals, have never eaten so close to one!

Friendly and professional service and excellent food! They have some traditional flavours on display and a long wine list of local varieties. We went for it and tried the orange Grk wine – it was divine! I got the fish soup ravioli dish and my vegetarian friend got the ricotta dumpling type dish. The ricotta one was very good and overall meal was great! We each got the bruschetta, me the sardines and her the beets which were both really good too. The chocolate brownie was also flavoursome!

Stopped here on our first evening in Dubrovnic, and couldn't have been happier.
The Old Town can be a very expensive place to eat, so you have to look at the menus to see what's what.
We ordered 2x pizzas, and they were fantastic. The wife had a glass of house white, and I joined her with a normal Coke, which came to approx €50.

We decided to book Sunday night here after chatting to the owner. It's a slightly different experience and here's why.... If you just look at the menu it seems very limited and somewhat small. But the whole emphasis is on sharing starters in a tapas style way. And there are enough to choose from so you won't leave hungry! I wanted to finish with the cheesecake but was too full. Hubby and I ended up sharing 4 starters and then we did do a main, but I could only manage a quarter of that while he finished it off.
We had the mackerel bruchetta, the monkfish and shrimp cerviche, the chicken liver pate and a squid and shrimp spicy dish with the most amazing creamed corn. The main was fillet with truffle sauce. All outstanding in presentation and delivered on taste in buckets. Dezzy our waitress was charming, funny, fully attentive and described everything perfectly. This is a definite place to eat for great Croatian hospitality and quality food. Sunday night there was a fab little jazz trio playing, so just a great night.

Cozy place in the old town of Dubrovnik. We came for "last minute offer" on 18:59 within happy hours 16:00-19:00. The staff was very nice, friendly and attentive. At the first side it is a restaurant founding on quality - not quantity. We chose our dinner of not large, but really excellent and sophisticated offer - every meal has its own "soul". Delicious! We can recommend.
