Nice place we found the food excellent, mussels, and small fried fish, very fresh and tasty, we also pay 20 euros for a bottle of wine Can't beat the price and quality, no wonder there's always a waiting line.

The restaurant is always crowded because there is a good relation between the price and the quality of the food The service is average because it is too crowded The fried calamari, the seafood, risottos and salads are safe choices here Good for lunch The...mussels (ballen) were not totally clean even though the taste was good...More
Be prepared to queue up to an hour to get a table because they do not accept reservation. The names comes from "oyster" in Croatian, but it is also well known fof whitebait: portions are gigantic
Cute spot. Recommended by our guide. Service not with a smile lol but it’s hot and they’re busy so I will give them a pass. I wanted to try Croatian Oysters , they were okay. Personally I think PEI oysters are much nicer. Calamari fritto...- light batter , very tender. Mussels Buzara - nice. Huge serving and only a few unopened ones. Overall okay for a quick, very casual lunch.More
Rude service! Low quality food! Rude service! Rude service and low quality food! Rude service! Low quality food! Rude service!
This was recommended by our tour guide and we were not disappointed. Though we had to wait some time for a table to become available, it was well worth the wait. The food was glorious. The atmosphere and location unbeatable. Come here when in Dubrovnik!
Eh. Fine but not delicious. Our tour guide recommended it so despite some of the reviews, we went. Husband and son got the green tagliatelle with the shrimp and they liked it. Daughter got plain pasta with tomato sauce and liked it. Other son got...mussels and while there were a lot, a ton weren’t opened so that was a waste of money. My shrimp dish was a traditional dish and fine. The sauce was very fishy. We’ve had much better meals in Dubrovnik.More
Was here in July 2023 with my wife. Very good food, competitive prices. I would go back here. Sea food mostly. Mussels price 15 eur.
Good food and reasonable price. Nice outdoor dining on Gundulić Square with lots going on around you including the green market during day hours. Fried calamari was €17. Mixed salad was €5. Glass of wine was €4.
Everything was good… but we got an intoxication after 3 of us ate oysters. Better to avoid bad surprises especially during the hottest days.
Food and location is stunning. Service is awful. Very very rude- service with a grump. We sat down and asked the waitress how are you- she snarled "busy". Husband ordered a drink and she walked off without taking my order - no tip
Thieves Restaurant. They add more value to the account and do not deliver the details of the value. Detail that the service is terrible, the waiters are sitting smoking and do not pay attention to us. To pay we had to go inside to ask...for the bill. I saw another table that the customer got up to go to the waitress sitting there smoking and order from her. We were informed that the bill was €40. And we pay. But when we left we looked at the menu and our bill was €35. We went back to ask her for the details and she added items that were €40. In place of the tuna salad, which was €10, he put something else for €15, in Croatian, which tourists don't understand. We charged for it and she took a €5 note and handed it back to us, without even apologizing. Run away from this restaurant and run from these employees who steal tourists.More
We ate here three times and surprised this place is not ranked higher as there is a queue every night to get in. The prices are abit cheaper than other restaurants in old town but the menu is a little limited and fish only. The...homemade tagatelli with prawns is stunning.More
Good food, great value, amazing atmosphere, hard working staff. To anyone reading reviews that complain about the staff, the context is that they are incredibly hard working. Spend even a moment being polite, practising your Croatian or just being human and they respond immediately, genuinely...and interestingly.More
Visited this place following good review on Google. It was busy at lunchtime with long queue, so I returned in the evening for early dinner. Seatings were mostly outdoor which means you get to enjoy the busy plaza and also second hand smoking from others....I ordered mussels as it was in season in Croatia. Despite the generous portion size, the mussels were tiny and wasn’t cleaned properly before cooking. The reef were attached to every single mussels. Service was good as the waitress changed my plate for sheep’s without needing to ask and food was as served quickly.More
