I have visited this restaurant numerous times with my family and I can't recommend it enough. Service is always extremely friendly and the food is fresh and locally sourced. Definitely a must visit place if you are in Dubrovnik.

This restaurant is outside of the main city of Dubrovnik but it is worth a visit. It has a lovely first floor terrace overlooking the water or a cosy indoor taverna.
The menu was a nice mix of meat and fish dishes - we had a steak (totally delicious) and a John Dory (also great). This restaurant really stands out because of the great service. Staff were so friendly, knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough to make sure your meal was a lovely experience. They explained whether the food had come from and made excellent recommendations. We had a really enjoyable evening.

I had the seabass filet, it was cooked just right and tasted great. They offered a very good croatian wine, Posip Cara, that was delicious and went well with the dish.
The view from the patio was great, and the owners very kind and helpful.

We booked a table in advance given the good reviews but were disappointed. We were given a table in the corner overlooking the water but after the sun set, it was so dark we could barely see our food and had to ask for a candle. Service was initially good but after our main we waited for a long time with no one checking on us. We asked for a dessert menu but by the time anyone came to take our order they had ran out of our choices. We went out of our way to go here but I would not return.

I came with my sister for her birthday and the food was delicious and the hostess and the waiter were really nice and very welcoming. The restaurant has a nice style !
We ate the California salad, grilled squid and prawns alla buraza and everything was tasty. The desserts also, especially the chocolate and peanut butter were amazing. The boss, himself, came to see us at the end of our dinner and was welcoming and nice like all the staff.
Thank you for this amazing birthday dinner. I recommend and will visit next time I come to Dubrovnik.

I am so amazed with how accommodating and attentive the staff was. We wanted to have a special last night in Croatia with our big group and Tavern Arka did not disappoint! We were thankful they accommodated us by providing a shuttle service to the restaurant from our Airbnb near old town. Once we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful view of the bay as the sun was setting, enjoyed delicious appetizers and entrees and the staff was constantly checking on us and making sure we were happy. I am SO glad we spent our last night all together at this wonderful restaurant. Definitely come here if you are looking for great scenery, friendly staff and delicious food :)

The food was simply delectable! We ate way too much but it was all so yummy. The Pasta Mare was homemade and perfectly creamy, the ribeye was tender and juicy and the hospitality is fantastic! The view is also incredible, especially after the sun went down. Would highly recommend for a romantic dinner or a family dinner!

Very glad we went there for my birthday. We had a great unique experience there. The waiter and owner Peter are very friendly and helpful. Food is delicious and well served. They even prepared a little dessert surprise with a candle and sang Happy Birthday to me, it was very special and thoughtful.
I would very much recommend going to Tavern Arka if you are in Crocia.
You dont get many places as friendly and happy to serve you like Tavern Arka in Croatia.

We came to Tavern Arka with a group of 70 people from more than 15 countries, many with dietary restrictions and preferences, so we may have been one of the more complicated groups to ever visit the restaurant. Peter and his team made us feel at home from the moment we walked in. The food was delicious (I loved my steak), our wine glasses were kept full, and there was live music to set the ambiance and keep the party going. Working with a party that large can usually stress the staff out, but everyone was smiling and having a good time. It was truly a night to remember. The next time we're in Dubrovnik, we'll be back!

Fantastic restaurant with views of the sea and local village. Cool sea breezes under cover out of the sun. Great atmosphere with easy listening music....the chef has put together a great selection of food and at good affordable prices. Worth the trip out of Dubrovnik old town or if on the cost...just book and go. Popular so book. Cannot recommend highly enough. Service was friendly and thoughtful. Best place I've eaten at in Croatia.

We drive to Bosnia and we’re coming home late and trying to find something for our family of 5 with children from 16-11. This place was amazing. With a great view to the staff with great knowledge and helpful suggestions on platters and pricing to me was very reasonable. A steak dinner was about 25 euros with sides. All the food was locally sourced and some of the best food we had in Croatia. Highly recommend to anyone but we lucked out, not ha I g a reservation so I would maybe say to make one but they also send to be able to accommodate last min like ours too.

What you notice first, is the friendliness and attention you get from the staff, all of the staff. Even the owner comes and checks in, personally thanking you for the visit. Everyone is fluent in English, and we suspect in some other languages, too. The waiters are very knowledgeable about the menu, especially the wines and in our experience paired the wine and fish perfectly. The food is spectacular, after a whole month in Croatia and a lot of medium rare steaks, we can confidently claim that this one was prepared to perfection and tasty as heck. We're so happy to have ended our holiday at this restaurant, it was the cherry on top, and speaking of deserts - their desert chef deserves a raise for his cheesecake and chocolate-peanut tart. If you're in Dubrovnik or in the area, this is a must.

Late night restaurant options limited in Zaton …but we decided to stop and try this restaurant along the main road. Parking was easy. Hostess greeted us and escorted us to a table on the terrace. Ordered a Gin and Tonic…perfection! Ordered a few various veggie options that hit the spot. Fries were crispy and wok veggies were done just right. My meat eating son ordered a T-bone steak 🥩 and loved it. Husband ordered fish and enjoyed his meal too! Amazing view of Zaton and fabulous service! Will definitely visit again. Bonus- they had hand sanitizer/bug spray available on a side table.

We went there yesterday and unfortunately we weren’t too impressed with the allergen awareness at this restaurant. It was a lovely location and a warm reception, I had seen multiple good reviews about allergies/ coeliac and good reviews about the restaurant in general. I suffer from coeliac disease and I had emailed in advance to notify and see if they could accommodate my needs due to the good reviews, however when we got there it was quite worrying. The waiter did not know what was in the food and recommended me to eat the french fries which were cooked in the same oil as gluten containing food, whilst then saying I could eat the potato gratin which we then found out to had flour in after asking for the ingredients multiple times… The manager did not come over once to reassure it was safe to eat here or explain what I could and couldn’t eat.
We had to abandon due to feeling unsafe and not feeling like they knew what was suitable for allergy/coeliac sufferers and I didn’t want to take the risk since I am on holiday. I’m not here to complain as I hate complaining, but just wanted to leave a review for other coeliacs/gluten free/allergies since I felt the other reviews must have been for elsewhere due to the service i had received ! Please be wary if you travel to this restaurant with allergies/coeliac/intolerances.

Fabulous restaurant with fresh and tasty seafood. We had oysters and John Dory. It was the best fish we've ever tasted. Amazing food and free taxi to and from the Sun Gardens hotel.
We spent 2 memorable evenings here out of a weeks stay. We dined here on my 50th birthday and it was very memorable with the band singing 'Happy Birthday! "
Despite it being situated by a road, the terrace has stunning views and a great atmosphere, with live music some nights.
Great service from Gabriel, Peter and the team, who made us feel very welcome. This is an amazing restaurant, can't recommendit enough. Defenitely worth a visit. Enjoy.
