If you don't mind waiting a bit in a queue and enjoy local tasty food Villa Spiza might be for you. Lovely food, it was our best dining experience in Croatia. The place was packed but we didn't mind. The prices were reasonable and service good. We took seabass, lamb and pasta with shrimps.

Fab, friendly, simple fresh good Dalmatian food in a tiny crowded space, with the kitchen right in front of you open to view. No fuss, no frills and no hurry. We felt lucky to just walk in and share a table. Loved it

My partner and I had dinner here tonight and were amazed at both the food and the service. We ordered a prawn pasta and the seafood risotto and both agreed that they were one of the best meals we have ever had. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. A must if you are visiting Split!

Tiny restaurant with 15-16 places at the max. The food is fresh, tasty and this was the best place we ate in Croatia. Worth the wait if there is.

We read about this place in the Croatia Rough Guide. It didn't disappoint. It's a quirky restaurant that wouldn't be out of place in London. It's a small restaurant which adds to its character and an intimate atmosphere. The food and service was excellent. I had the prawn and asparagus pasta and it was really delicious. The wine was good... More

We came here for my birthday dinner and definitely weren't disappointed. It was a good thing we got there early (around 530pm) because they were already crossing items off the menu due to popular demand! After a 20 min wait, we had the beef steak which was juicy and delicious, sea bream, and shrimp pasta which were both amazing. To... More

We went there for a nice experience on a rainy night with high hopes for a cosy dinner. We waited for half an hour in the pub next door, which actually turned out to be the best part of the night. At the time when ee got in almost half of the menu was crossed over - they had run... More

Villa Spiza was recommended to us by the representative from our apartment rental company. It's a tiny space with only two tables and a couple of counters with stools. The kitchen is open. We were fortunate to get one of the tables. Every dish on the extensive menu was appealing. After our third visit in four nights we tasted several... More

This is one of the highest rated places for good reason. Arrive just before 1100 to get seat, it's small and fills up fast. Food is authentic-- I had a stew and my wife "dirty calamari" (you have to go and find out yourself). Good local wine too.. Great atmosphere.
