Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ate the food so fast we forgot to take a picture! This was incredible! So fresh straight from the oven/grill. Super fast service!

We’ve walked past and this place is always busy, buyer beware it’s Cash Only!! So we had to grab some cash from an ATM. The two ladies were a bit sassy / rude but I guess they are a little confident about the product -...she the blonde lady should work on her attitude as tourists are the ones who pay the bills. Cevapi was Exceptional which is why I rated it still high 👍More

Great street food. Authentic Croatian. Banging food, really nice. Cost me £10 for a beer and an authentic Croatian sausage bap, loved it. Got to try it.

The food itself is mediocre. Half filled ceviche sandwich. The blonde lady hates tourist and she lets you know it. Nasty attitude towards everyone except locals. She should be ashamed of her attitude. Please spend your money somewhere else where it is appreciated.

Despite Kantun Paulina being highly recommended, we were disappointed during our visit. Most importantly, the ćevapi was simply not that good. During our 2-week Croatian tour, we tried ćevapi in 3 different places throughout the country - Istria, Zagreb, and Split. Kantun Paulina's was the...least expensive, but also the worst. The bread was dry and flavorless. They skimped on the sausage in our sandwiches. Had the food been better I could have forgiven the exceptionally brusque service, but put it all together and it was simply bad from start to finish. There are many, many places to get ćevapi in Croatia. This place is not special at all.More

Cevapi is a HIT, you can not miss out on this experience. Food was excellent and worth the wait. What a great town to walk thru and this was a great location that took you away from the crowds.

Really enjoyed the traditional cevapi, as an alternative to a burger. It comes in different sized amounts of meat, depending how large a sandwich you want.

Stopped here for a late night bite to eat after we had seen it on a Netflix documentary. We had a sausage and a chicken one. Both were really nice but be prepared to queue…it’s worth the wait.

Fantastic. Extraordinary reasonable considering how good it tastes. Perfectly marinated meat in a soft, cuddly, home-made bun, bang in the centre of the Old Town. If you eat this for 5 Euro's, then blow 2 more on a nearby ice-cream, you've had a sublime experience...and still have enough money left, to go back to Paulina's and do it all again, one hour later. It really is that good. I like the woman who served me, who juggled a stressful workload with charm, efficiency and humour. A wonderful experience. Go. Today.More

Dear Kantine Paulina, how can I tell you that (i) your welcome is unpleasant and above all detestable. You don't appreciate tourists and make no effort to explain to them what you offer in the way of catering, (ii) I couldn't digest your sandwich which...gave me gastric problems all evening. My body simply needed to expel the lack of freshness and quality of your sandwich.More

I decided to try this place as the queue outside was massive after asking a few people in the queue what type of food they were serving I was excited to try the famous sausage burger but after waiting around 15 mins in the queue...I noticed the lady serving food wiped her head with a tissue (this is fine as it was very hot) but she then without even washing her hands picked up a sausage she had dropped on the floor with the same tongs she was using to flip the burgers and then proceeded to wipe it with the same tissue she had just used to wipe sweat off her head and then carried on flipping the burgers.Absolutely disgusting, needless to say I walked strait out after witnessing thatMore

Hi, I don't remember if there was any vegetarian option but I think you can always order the bread with veggie and cheese filling. But otherwise, you can always eat Burek with cheese! It's amazing. Enjoy Croatia!
