My friend and I went to Pistilos based on other TA reviews and we were not disappointed. We weren’t very hungry so we just ordered appetizers; their famous octopus carpaccio, mushroom salad, baby green salad with tuna and panna cotta. The octopus carpaccio more than...lived up to expectations! All of the greens were very fresh and the seafood was fantastic which I was honestly a little concerned about considering how far inland we are. The presentation was exquisite and the service was excellent! Dessert was the piéce de résistance! We both highly recommend Pistilos!!More
Pistilos does not disappoint! The service, atmosphere and the food were all amazing! The staff are knowledgeable and very professional. The menu and wine list are extensive. This restaurant is not to be missed in Antigua.
Delicious food and excellent service in an intimate setting. We ate at three great restaurants in Antigua and thought the food here was the best. The atún appetizer is delicious and we enjoyed all of our main courses and the desserts were fabulous.
I have been to Antigua a dozen times, but this was our first experience at Pistilos. We were staying at Casa Santo Domingo, and this is located just a few blocks away on the same street - quite convenient!
For our appetizer we had their...Carpaccio de Pulpo (Octopus Carpaccio). Oh, my, what an AMAZING dish!!! The octopus was delicious, the citrus level was perfect, the red onion was just the right amount, and the parmesan cheese made it all just melt in your mouth. The portion was very large, even for two people, but I did not mind in the least! I will return here on future visits just to enjoy this delightful dish again.
For entrees my wife chose their sea bass with risotto, and I chose their lamb. Both were very good.
Our server was friendly and attentive. He enjoyed practicing his English with us, and his English was certainly better than my Spanish. We also enjoyed their selection of music - it made a great atmosphere for a romantic dinner,More

Thank you so much for such a great comment, we strive to ensure the best.
Always at your service
Went on Valentine’s Day with a group of eight (with a reservation). Lovely ambiance and beautiful decor but it was all downhill from there. Waitstaff inexperienced and was being trained on the spot. Didn’t have enough menus for the table. Wonderful description of menu options...but most turned up over cooked (chicken, beet pasta special). Good wine selection. Needs a lot of work to get up to Welten, Panza Verde, Tartines and Santo Domingo standards.More
