We went a little after 11 am and the joint was bustling with breakfast and lunch diners. Early mimosa and Bloody Mary specials also drew a bar crowd at that time. While we didn’t wait for a table, we did wait a long time for...More

The appetizers were excellent. Meals were not. Crab cakes had no taste, no seasoning. Service was mediocre.

As a native Marylander, I'm hesitant to announce that I've found the best crab cake ever...but only because there is a remote hope to find a better one in some crabber's shack down on the Chesapeake Bay. That may be unrealistic, so it is very...More

Plan on waiting because good places are worth it. Have a beverage at the bar while you wait. The mussels weren’t the best I’ve had but nevertheless tasty. I’ll keep coming back for the Tuna. Nicely prepared medium rare. Small parking lot plus street parking...More

We enjoyed our stop at the grill. The crab cakes were very good. Nice selection of beer. Fun atmosphere. Worth going to.

This is a crowded restaurant, and we waited for about 45 min on a Mon night (the town was packed for a lacrosse tournament, so it may have been more crowded than normal). However, there were a few seats at the bar and they had...More

Make sure to get to this place early to grab a table, as they do not take reservations. The service was exceptional, we had a fairly big party and our waitress didnt miss a beat.

If you are in Annapolis and don't stop to eat here - you are doing it wrong. Great for any meal of the day or just drinks and apps!

When a friend visits and you want to show them "Maryland" at it's best go to the Boatyard. My husband claims they served him the best soft shell crab he has ever had. I am in love with the crab, artichoke, and spinach sandwich and...More

We were a party of three. We arrived around 4:30 and immediately seated. By the time we left, 5:30-5:45, there was a line waiting. I’d just call and inquire whether they accept reservations. Excellent food. We found if you... More

Description
The Boatyard is where local sailors, fishermen and lovers of the Chesapeake enjoy pint drinks, great crab cakes and the freshest local seafood. Specialties include smoked fish of the day (on premise), cream of crab and Maryland crab soups and an extensive list of crab and seafood specialties. The First Lady came from the White House to enjoy our crab cakes. The Boatyard has the most extensive raw bar in the area including a variety of oysters, clams, shrimp and mussels. The Boatyard receives awards for being most family friendly and having the best burger on the Bay. Its weekend brunch is the best in the area. The Boatyard is located in the historic maritime district of Eastport-a short walk or water taxi from Annapolis City Docks. Its photo boat films the local sailing races and shows them nightly. Named by Coastal Living, Sailing World and Sail Magazine as one of world's top sailing/boating restaurants.
