I booked my reservation weeks ago and looked forward with great anticipation for a great evening. Donde Jose exceeded all expectations across the board. In general, I am not a fan of tasting menus but this is different, in a very positive way. Everyone is...More

Had dinner at Donde Jose on Saturday night. Got to sit at the chefs table for a special treat. The chef is a delight and truly enjoys sharing his concept of Panamanian food in a new and refreshing way. Each course was a little surprising...More

A unique setting and fun place to have a party! We had 10 people together at their one large table for a birthday celebration. Highly recommend - but ask ahead if Jose will be there to introduce the dishes and give the history. Was disappointed...More

We were lucky to get in as you need to book in advance- so book early! We arrived early as they recommended. The plates were unique and flavors that made you wanting more. The wine pairing was just right. Each plate was explained in detail....More

Went for a birthday with 10 friends. Small intimate atmosphere. Jose was not there that night, but the staff did a suburb job telling the story that went along with the presentation. Pricey, but for an occasional splurge, definitely one of Panama's best.

We were walking by and spotted this place. It's reservations only and we were lucky enough to get on the next week. It's a very special place and the food is 5-star. The cocktails are fun and customized to your liking.

This was absolutely one of the best meals I have ever had. If you have the chance to sit at the chef’s table I highly recommend it. The food is a great representation of Panamanian cuisine. It is on expensive side for Panama City. However,...More

We live in the beaches area but visit the city when we have guests. This January we had two couples come at different times. They are definitely "foodies" so we booked the chef's table (well in advance) for both occasions. They were all blown away,...More

Hi Julie. The prefix menu is approximately $70-75 per person depending on where you sit (normal table vs. Chef's Table). Wine is extra. Donde Jose serves stories more than food, meaning that each course is the basis for... More
