Great food. 50$ for 3 persons 2 dishes with beers. Walking distance from the old town. However between Old Town and the Fish Market the area does not look so safe. The problem is that everybody there has own music and you are sitting in...the common area. We could stay longer than 1,5 hour.More

Not to be missed by any seafood lovers and people who enjoy their trips while observing the locals and go eat with them in a lively and energetic market. If you are looking for a fancy seafood restaurant, please go elsewhere. If you enjoy the...fun of trying local dishes and fresh seafood in open restaurants with no AC, be prepared as Panama can be hot and humid. We had a medium size of lobster, various ceviches, and a local appetiser (seafood in plantain cups) and a few cold beers and we all enjoyed it! If you want to avoid the noon heat, try around 3pm when it is still busy in the restaurants but the market side is winding down so may be you can buy some good catch too if you have a kitchen to cook. But then the second floor will be closed in late afternoon.More

Unlike the caribbean coast, the pacific coast of Panama has always been known for the abundance of fish and seafood. Most of it, passes through this market. You can stroll through the main salon and see what the vendors have to offer. This is important...because there you know what the local catch is and it is all fresh. There are places to eat here, one of those is on the second floor, which is were we ate. Nothing fancy, just the basics. We had a seafood stew, grilled octopus and ceviche. It was all great as expected. So if you don't mind the smell of a fish market, the noise of the trade and if you are more on the curious side and adventurous, don't pass this place. You will come back for sure.More

Bustling place with many different options. Yes, each stall will try to entice you into their area, and they aren't pushy just passionate, but do as I did and go to the one with lots of locals. I had octopus cerviche, langostines, with a beer...and water for about $24. It's fresh and large portions, I couldn't finish it all. Much less expensive options were available. The one I went to also gives you a small bowl of seafood soup. Friendly servers, though they speak little English but no problem communicating as the menu is also in English.More

My husband and I dropped by to visit this famous fish market. No sooner then getting out of our Uber we were pounced upon by all the people working at the individual fish restaurant stalls. It was awful. We were not given a chance to...walk along and look at the different stalls to see which one we preferred. These people simply followed us with their menus speaking over eachother trying to get our attention. It felt like we were being swarmed. We were turned off by their aggressiveness and decided to leave. Who wants to eat a meal like that ?More
