We love Peruvian food and travelled to Peru so when we saw this restaurant near our hotel it was a no brainer. When we first arrived i tried twice to get the waiters attention and then he pointed to any tables. There was only one group in the restaurant. I found the sevice and overall atmosphere lacking. The pros were... More

The food was good and plentiful. It tasted fresh and was well prepared. The establishment felt clean and service was with a smile. Was it authentic? Beats the heck out of me! I have travelled the world but never made it to Peru. The Spanish flair was apparent. The place was full, what more can you ask for. We found... More

Good basic fare, ample portions and popular with locals. Cooked right on site not like many who import meals now. Good menu and very nice old world atmosphere, everyone seemed peaceful and sated including myself. Took a chance and it was successful, prices are less than half of fancy hotels near by and the food is delicious.

This is a simple not expensive restaurant in the middle of the city. The Peruvian food is simply great fresh and exciting

Expected more of this place, I guess couldn't enjoy the food properly because the air conditioner was spoiled and made the evening very uncomfortable.

We decided to eat here due to the reviews on TA, we hadn't had our ceviche fix yet, and it was walking distance to our hotel. Having eaten at Tantalo and the Fish Market, Mar de Grau was a nice surprise! We loved everything we ate and found the prices reasonable for the quantity and quality. We had the peruvian... More

Im a great cook so when I go out I expect the same at a reasonable price. I hugged the chef because it was the first decent meal I had in Panama of any type for an entire week. The service was good. The decor was pleasant and understated. They care about you having a pleasant visit. I visited three... More

The individuals where, black rice (squid ink with rice), sea bass, shrimp causa, shrimps in garlic sauce, shrimp pastries and a tacutacu. Plus drinks, lemonades, ginger ale and pisco sour. The bill was... More

not all dishes are good. Visited the restaurant a couple of nights and tried different dishes. Definitely the ceviche, causa and chupe de camarones were good. Very dissappointed with the "piqueo criollo"-no real 'choros' or 'conchitas'. What bothered me is that the waiter insisted they were the authentic and I KNOW the real ones. He then asked the chef and... More

Great service and food for very comfortable prices. Located nearby hotels, banks and business center, pretty buildings, metro station, about three blocs from Cinta Costera so you can walk around afterwards and enjoy the ocean view y a very safe and beautiful place. Get the feeling of modern Panama City and the influence of all of the cultures settled in... More
