My wife and I took a wrong turn while walking to one or our favorite restaurants and stumbled upon this place. When we tried to enter, the door was locked but someone standing outside told us to ring the door bell. We were greeted quickly...and proceeded to have one of the best Italian meals either of us had ever had. We go back at least once a week now and the toughest decision we have to make is whether we want to relive one of the great menu items we have already enjoyed, or try a new one that is equally as good. An added bonus is that the waitress is always willing to help us with our spanish while we are waiting on our meal.More

Having lunch in Da Stefano after living 5,5 years in Panama was amazing. Complete and utter surprise on the level and service. Literally astonishing level of Italian cuisine in a very small and cosy restaurant. Some people would literally call this a hole in the...wall. For me it's just exquisite, splendid or a real gem.More

The owner and his wife took their time with me explaining how allergic I am to gluten and they took all necessary precautions to prep a really gluten free meal. The pasta was delicious. perfectly cooked and yummy! THANK YOU!

We just had a great lunch here! Nice home cooked pastas and good ambiance. Family run restaurant. A little hard to find though. Super friendly owners and atmosphere. Recommended!

It was like having a meal at home. A hidden gem. The service was wonderful the food was outstanding. We had four different pasta dishes and lasagna. We were all members of the clean plate club. Add Henry the guitar player and it was a...beautiful evening with family.More

Good atmosphere and personalized and friendly staff service. They make an excellent presentation of italian food with the family stamp placed by their Nonna´s recipes. It is an old family house that still keeps that beauty of simple and classy design that invites to talk...and enjoy the moment and the company. We started with Arancinis and fingertips of mozzarella cheese, shared between all. My Milanesa de Pollo a la Parmigiana, and fried potatoes, delicious. And Tiramisú for dessert. Good selection of wine, and the warmly atmosphere completed the total scene. This is a place you should visit in the city.More

We were leaving Carnival and saw Da Stefanos as we were heading back to our hotel. Cute little building and warm, cozy dining room. We are vegetarians and they smilingly accommodated our taste preferences. Delicious bruschetta and pasta marinara! Wine was lovely and we ended...with espresso and tiramisu. Wonderful end to our day. Such gracious host and hostesses. We had no wifi and they arranged for an über car who arrived in 5 minutes. Such a great experience: amazing food and service. Can't ask for more!More

We lived in Panama for 7 years and only once found a place that had good Southern Italian/Sicilian food. This is a small but classy, family-owned place right next to where the old American Embassy used to be. Easily accesible by Uber or driving (plenty...of free parking out front). Try the arancini (Sicilian Rice Balls) which are terrific. All of the pasta is hand made. I particularly liked the lasagnas (Bolognese or Eggplant). Everything is cooked to order and the service is wonderful and friendly (pretty rare in Panama). Enjoy!More
