The most legit sushi and sashimi you can find in Managua. Service is awesome, the sushi chef Romel was super attentive and even gave us some free goodies to try. One of the few places that offers Sapporo 😋

We had an event there - and the chef and staff were very attentive to our needs. The food was also very good. If you are looking for Sushi or authentic Japanese fare ( the chef is Japanese) you won't go wrong.

Have been looking for a place that uses the correct sushi rice for the roles and was recommended by a friend to check it out. The restaurant did not disappoint, everything was prepared very well and cooked perfect. We tried many different roles and the...chicken teriyaki and it was amazing. We arrived a little early and the place filled up fast and food was coming out on time. We will definitely go back again and recommend this place.More

The service is harmful and fast. The taste is fantastic, it is like being in Tokyo (never been there, but they make you feel like so)

Kyoto restaurant has a big menu where you can choose from different food, not only japanese, they also have curry, tofu and a few different things... The tofu is great, curry is good, sushi is very good and fresh and in my opinion the best...is the ramen.. big ramen bowls with a lot of flavor. Try the matcha ice cream <3 It is expensive for Managua but once in a while you really need good japanese food :pMore

I'd read the reviews, had been told by friends that if I wanted 'great' Japonese food, Kyoto was the place to try. Excellent! There is indoor seating with aire and outside terrace seating to fully enjoy the restaurants view atop the hill overlooking Managua. There...were three of us and we all ordered different plates from which we shared. The waiter started us off with a complimentary noodle miso soup which was very good after taking our beverage orders. The pork 'gyozas' were tasty and not overly fried as I usually find them to be served. This made them less chewy allowing you to fully enjoy the pork stuffing. It comes with a shredded cabbage salad with Japanese dressing. I die for the dressing. The second plate was a mixed tempura which consisted of vegetables - potato, carrot, zucchini - and shrimp and calamari with dipping sauce. Very tasty and not dripping in oil! Perfect! Last plate was the combination sashimi plate. This was by far my favorite. It is served with tuna, fresh salmon (I say fresh as you could taste the flavor of the salmon), eel, bass, scallop (?), calamari, and some other fish which I don't remember! By far the best! The eel was so good that I ordered a side plate! The meals also come with miso soup. The service and ambiance were excellent. Recommend highly without reservations!More

As a sushi lover, and a regular Kyoto client; this is by no doubts the best sushi available in Nicaragua. The chef, japanese, is one the nicest people I've ever met. The staff is friendly and attentive, always trying for you to have the best...experience. Salmon is always fresh. PS: Try the HARUMAKI. Best spring rolls I have ever had.More

This is truly a remarkable restaurant. Over the years we have eaten here over 30 times and not once have we had a bad meal or witnessed bad service. From the service to the sashimi to the sake, Kyoto is one of Managua's best. We...have tried other Japanese restaurants in the city but none compare to Kyoto at Barcelo. Firstly, the restaurant offers a beautiful view over Managua, secondly the waiters and chefs are friendly and welcoming. Meals take only a few minutes to prepare and always taste fresh and wholesome. Our favorite meals include the tuna sashimi, agadeshi tofu, steamed gyozas, wakami seaweed salad and udon tempura noodles. This is one of Managua's more expensive restaurants. Our dinners generally work out to be +/- $90 for 3 people but it is an undeniable treat and of course includes a few sakes. Thank you to the whole team and keep up the fantastic work! We'll be back! ;-)More

We have eaten here many times over the years and keep on returning. So far nothing compares in Managua. The staff are efficient and very helpful. The sashimi, wakame, miso, agedashi tofu and soba are divine! The preparation, ingredients and execution of the dishes all...translate into tasty Japanese food. Top it up with warm sake and kanpai!More
