The chicken Tikka masala was no where close to how it should taste... I think even if you Google for the recipe online you should be able to get some where close to Indian taste... But unfortunately what I got to eat here was chicken...tossed in tomato puree and no ounce of Indian spices in it. Very disappointed with what I got to eat as chicken Tikka masala...
Suggestion: probably change the name of the dish to some other Asian name and definitely not Indian..
I also got to taste the dal makhani and chef please get it right Dal makhani is not red beans paste... Please do not ruin Indian food name by making such dishes.
@chef: Google for recipes of these Indian dishes please learn to get the right ingredients... Indian food is a lot of richer in taste and bland is just not Indian. Terribly disappointed.More
I honestly had high hopes for this place the pictures of the dishes on instagram told me I had to try this place. So far from what I expected price for the quality and quantity was absurd. Too disappointed to even really start in on...how this place was shockingly nothing what I expected. The drinks were tasty but not worth the price plus they were not even alcoholic drinks. Really wanted to have a great meal for my husbands birthday. Stick to what you know I guess. Too many restaurants in Managua to settle for this...More
They have a wide variety and asian dishes and rolls with a peruvian touch. My favorite was the rocoto roll, it has spicy tuna and a creamy rocoto sauce, also the pork buns (char siu bao). The rice dishes were super tasty,, yakimeshi was my...favorite. Curries were good but a bit watery, I prefer a creamier curry. Overall everything was great, price is high compared to other places in Managua but the dishes are big.More
Our friends to whose wedding we were coming offered us two suggestions for dinner the night after we arrived in Nica. We immediately said Zhu when they said it served
excellent sushi. We were not disappointed. The sushi and the other dishes we ordered were...outstanding. The atmosphere was casual and the service excellent. It was a real find from our perspective and would return on our next visit to Nica.More
The food is great and the environment is welcoming but the outside patio was very poorly maintained and we had the sun on our backs, the wall were not clean and made us feel not so comfy, plus the waiter girl may need some service...training when it comes to prepare the table prior food.More
Each month, we try a new restaurant in Managua as a way of getting into the "big" city for a nice meal. We all were so impressed with Zhu Asian Kitchen. Every single dish was above and beyond what we expected. Everything was beautiful presented...and portions were amazing. My only disappointment was that I ate so much I did not have room for dessert!More
I was really excited to try out Zhu, after some recommendations. Unfortunately, I left ok with not returning again. The decor is lovely, but the food and service were not impressive. We were a big group and many times our waiter forgot about us. He...brought some meals out late, making some in the group wait a long time while the rest ate. I ordered butter chicken, big disappointment. It didn't taste like your typical Asian butter chicken. It tasted like the chef overpacked it with regular "crema" or sour cream, it was bland. It came with rice and vegetables that didn't complement the meal at all. Others in our group were not impressed with their meals either.More
Excelent modern Asian decor with inside and outside seating. I had not had Chifa since I was in Peru a couple years ago, but Zhu brought me back to Peru! But this time the cuisine has a nice fusion twist. The menu is extensive. I...love the vegetarian fried rice. I keep on going back to it regularly. Its enough to feed two, and feel satisfied. Although probably unhealthy, you have to try to fried wontons. You can find green and red curries. The lava cake is magnificent. You just need to remember to leave room for it. As in the rest of Nicaragua, service needs improvement. You still need to ask the wait staff for attention, and for the check.More
