We decided to try this restaurant for a late dinner since it's right next door to where we were staying and were pleasantly surprised! The vibe is casual and the staff is friendly. We had the Bolognese pizza which was very good (the crust is thin and crunchy, the sauce is rich and flavorful) and the Greek salad. Although the mild, firm little squares of feta in the salad are not my feta of choice, the pizza and cold Ozujsko (Croatia's best selling beer) on tap made up for it and we went back a second time before leaving.
Definitely stop in for a low key, very inexpensive meal but don't expect speedy service...(here or anywhere in Zagreb - Croats like to linger over a meal so there is no real sense of expeditiousness to any request and the staff definitely doesn't hover. However, a polite shout out or gesture will garner the attention and service you need.
Just a note for all dining in Zagreb: make sure to have cash for tipping. You can pay by credit card for almost all restaurants, but there is no way to tip with card. If you don't have cash, the wait staff loses out.

We discovered this quiet side street that was reserved for restaurants with no traffic in sight and we were exhausted. A free table was soon open and we were seated with menus by a smiling waitress. We used there clean restrooms, returning to a lemonade and my cold Bud Tamno dark. Our meals soon arrived; perfect Spaghetti Bolognese and Spinach Lasgne (bit too much cheese), all for $26 with tip. Goof food, service, and nice outdoor atmosphere.

Actually we came here for a Pizza but somehow they stopped serving Pizza after a certain time. Our Pasta was average, nothing special, fast but not really satisfying. Leonardo seems like a place all tourists pass once during thier old town sightseeing. Always crowded but their are much better and more delicious choices off the beaten Zagreb food track.

We had lunch there and I can say NEVER AGAIN.
We ordered fried calamari and croatian dish called ćevapi. Both of the dishes came out with a side of fries.
Calamari were under my expectations. Not fried enough and the batter was tasteless.
Cevapi looked and tasted burnt. I had food here couple of years ago and I was disappointed with basic pizza, today I gave a second try and I’m never going to go there again.
No need to say that glasses are dirty and their excuse is that the dishwasher is not working well.
Other thing my glass wasn’t washed properly, looked like pieces of coffee are floating in my drink.
Waiter saw us leaving with plates half full and he didn’t say anything, didn’t even ask if something was wrong.
Other than food this let it call “restaurant” needs proper training for their waiters and chefs.
Too bad I can’t rate it with -1 because I would!!

Visited with my partner, and we expected a small Italian restaurant in a bustling area of Zagreb with really tasty food, however we didn’t quite get this experience. I ordered a ham, mushroom and tomato pizza, and my partner a chicken and white wine risotto. We were served drinks very quickly, but the waiters hovered around as though they were watching you; the restaurant was very quiet also. Unfortunately, the food was not to the standard we expected and both my partner and I found it quite inedible - the ham on my pizza was far from an Italian ham, rather tasted like overly salted and soggy sandwich meat/shredded ham from a can, and the base of my pizza was undercooked. My partners risotto was not risotto rice, and incredibly dry with a poor quality tomato stock sauce - it certainly was not white wine! Unfortunately, I would not recommend Leonardos whilst eating in Zagreb. There are much tastier Italian restaurants in other areas of the city, most within a five minutes walk of this place!

I wanted to try a new restaurant with my girlfriends and we went to leonardo as it had a cute location with nice seatings. However, the food was absolutely terrible. No taste and no flavour in anything. We had 2 times lasagne bolognese - one of them was soggy while the other was completely dry. Gnocchi with mushroom in a tartuf sauce was disgusting - no taste of tartuf and not seasoned. And the last dish was rissoto which was also really bad. Really would not recommend to anybody and I wish thw restaurant sees this review and does something to fix this as the restaurant with such a great location should be a good representation of Zagreb.

The best pizza we ever had in Zagreb!! I shared a quattro formaggi pizza with my son and the pizza was so delicious with so much flavor. The base was thin and crisp and there is a perfect amount of sauce and topping. My other son had the hamburger and my wife had the veal - both were also excellent!
The location near Ban Jelačić Square and the Cathedral is unbeatable and outdoor dining is great for people-watching.
The wait staff were very friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable and the spot is always kept clean.
Good range of pizzas that are freshly cooked and not too filling as some can be. The rest of the menu was also good and all of this, along with the wine/beer was good value. After leaving my boys asked if we would be back!

Our group of four friends ate here for lunch to try the traditional Zagreb pork steak. It’s a pork steak that has ham and cheese in the middle and is then crumbed and fried. It costs 65 Kuna and was fantastic. It comes with either french fries or potatoes and it is a very large meal. You could share one between two and still be very happy. The food and service was very good and we would recommend the restaurant as it is near the city markets in the old town.

The food was decent, but since we ordered, we waited an hour and 20 minutes to be served, they brought both food and cutlery to one person at a time..! Maybe with a few less empty trips the service would have been faster... They served me the ribs already half cold and then I had to wait another 5 minutes for the cutlery, so I ate completely cold... The others they managed to eat it while still lukewarm... We will stay here for another week but we will certainly not eat here again... Really a shame, the place is quaint but not worth it...

A restaurant that is simply a trap for tourists, they put sauces or things on the table that you don't order and charge you for it, the food is reasonable and no more than mediocre, the service was given to us by a lying waiter who put things on the bill that we didn't order and inflates the bill, when you show him his mistakes he bites back with other lies . There are many restaurants in this area, so I recommend not to enter this restaurant. You have been warned!!!

We went for dinner with my husband, but actually we didn't eat. This is for sure not an Italian restaurant.. Pasta was more than overboiled and the spaghetti was in small pieces.. Of course they didn't bring grated cheese.. They didn't have any taste.. The salad was even worst.. Wrong choice of vegetables.. Pizza? The worst we have ever eaten.. I saw the rissoto served to the table near us, which was again an overboiled rice. I cannot understand how people "judge" the food, since I saw some great critics for this restaurant. I don't recommend it, but since taste is subjective, I guess this is the reason why this restaurant has this score.

We spent ages trying to find a seat in a restaurant on Victory Day. We finally managed to get a seat outside at 10pm. We had the cauliflower vegetarian dish, and we thought it was tasty. We also really enjoyed the Croatian white wine and we had a very nice waiter :)

This evening I went for chicken filet and made in special way. You will see on photo how it look then You get smarter. I have forgotten the name in menu.
I order salat and bread as extra and also drink a couple of beer.
The staff took very good care about me. Their name was Daniel and Patrick they was brother and give me full feeling of beeing wished as customer.
So between my order and other on the outside part we had a good speak about small things.
The dinners name was in Croatian. Pohani Pileci Odrezak punjen svjezim. I dont have a clu what that means. But it was super good.
On a screen I could see football and champions league with no volume because they played nation music to all other visiters.
I cant find anything to complain over. A super evening.

They serve us twice cold potato ( same meal) and potato was from day before. Trying to tell us its fresh food. Second time bring us same potate that we split we we try food first time... Dont go there!!!!

Food is ok, very good, but the service was terrible. We waited for more than half an hour for a cold starter plate, then, a minute after it was finally brought, the waitress brought me the main dish too. There were a few things more (waiting, confusion). In general, we were a bit annoyed by this strange experience. I woudn't recommend a place for some time, until they find better waiters.
