Allmost nothing to eat, just cevapi, really don't understand what is so special about this place. There are a lot of real bosnian restaurants in Sarajevo whith real food.

Best "cevabdzinica" in Sarajevo for over 30 years. Went there for "cevapi" after 17 years, and they are still the best!
As said in the name, this restaurant does not serve much else than ćevapi and few sausages. However, all the food in the restaurant was excellent ("I should emigrate to Bosnia" excellent) and prepared in a short moment. The staff were friendly, spoke fluent English,...and explained us what the foods were. The restaurant provides a great experience of the old Sarajevo.More
When it comes to authentic Čevapčići I truly don’t believe it doesn’t get any better , any more perfectly seasoned or cooked then Željo. Truly best čevapi in the world , and I am well traveled and fed. Enough said.
So many people had reccomended trying the cevapi in Sarajevo and this place appears to be reccomended for it. Visiyed to try this local delicacy. Simple, good quality and reasonably priced. Service was prompt and affable. Certainly worth trying if you are in Sarajevo.
You have two choices at zeljo: have the sausage in flat bread with chopped onion or go elsewhere. From other reviews, this seems to be a cultural imperative. For me, as a stranger to the area, it was a good, filling and inexpensive lunch. I...guess it is a “must do” in Sarajevo.More
Many years ago, this restaurant was among the best - if not the best in the entire country - when it comes to cevapi. Juicy cevapi, tasty and large burgers, warm flatbread(somun), fresh onions, cheerful atmosphere, enticing aroma... all this adorned this restaurant - once....A few days ago I ate at this restaurant with my family. All in all - a huge disappointment - unbaked and cold cevapi, cold flatbread, smelly onions... On a scale of 1 - 10 the quality of these meal is -3. Fortunately, Sarajevo has other restaurants where you can eat good cevapi. And for those who want the real pleasure of cevapi...... just visit Travnik ....More
Our guide recommended that we head here for lunch. It's not huge but we managed to get a table. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and spoke great English. I ordered the Kombinacija (Combination) meal - see the photos. Great value for some delicious...foodMore
A very full restaurant with a limited selection, but excellent. Čevapčići are excellent, as is kajmak. Alcoholic beverages are not served.
Fast food, Bosnian style. Piping hot lepinja or somun bread with kajmak and raw onions, and as many cevapi as you want. I come here every summer in Bosnia for a cevapi or pljeskavica (Bosnian hamburger) lunch. The prices are up like 15-20% since pre-pandemic,...but the flavor and friendliness is still there, something about the quality of the meat or the herbs, it's just a great, fast meal. I paid 14 Bosnian marks (KM) for a drink with a 10pc cevapi and somun with onion on this most recent trip. As a solo traveler this time, during the lunch rush, it's totally fine to share tables with other locals or solos also partaking.More
Tastiest Cevap served with onion, sour cream and somoun bread. We followed the Cevap smell in the old market until we reached Zeljo.( lebanon- Middle east)
The server was an extremely affable dude who smiled a lot. Place had a really good atmosphere and great food to match, what else can you say?
We ate here 3 times during our stay. The food is as you can expect: delicious Cevapi and the best somun. My son all of a sudden was a meat eater and had a big Cevapi all the times we were there. Nice staff and...good location. Recommended!More
They were serving the best traditional cevapcici köfte (meatballs) with kaymak (cream of cream) and delicious bread. Definitely will go again if our way crosses to Sarajevo.
We got there to ask for an information after being schemed on a Airbnb on new years eve. The owner helped us a lot, tried to find us a place to stay and served us the best cvapi we have ever had. Great people!
