We have eaten at the Cafe Salsa for breakfast and lunch on each of our 3 visits to Rarotonga. The food is tasty and well portioned. There is a good variety to chooose from and the prices are reasonable. My favourite is the Hamtomchee toastie. We will eat there again.

The service was very good. Nice glass of wine and flat white. The pizza though was undercooked and the toppings so wet they slid off the fork. Could not pick up a slice as the middle was a sloppy mess. The menu said mozarella but the cheese was definately not, tasted like cheddar. The waitress cleared the plate and did... More

Nice cafe and atmosphere, love the fans. Service was slow to order and we waited 40 minutes for fish curry and another meal. Fish curry was not so great with under cooked rice so I gave Tom all my bread. No one asked how our food was and we left paying for our meals disappointed. This place was recommended to... More

Stopped off here last week for a bite to eat and really enjoyed the food. Excellent fish sandwich (fresh grilled fish) and good chicken caesar salad. Delicious fresh fruit smoothies too - recommended!

We stopped here for supper on our way back from walking around the area. It was pouring rain, so we ducked into this restaurant. We sopped in here as we told that the pizza was exceptional. The service was friendly and quick, the pizza however was just average. I did enjoy the thin crust however. As there were other establishments... More

Our second year in Raratonga, we again visited the Cafe Salsa. This cafe is located mid Avarua and easily accessed from Cooks Corner and the bus stop. We ordered fish burger, Iki Mata and a Matutu beer. All were delicious. We were drawn back to the Cafe Salsa a few times and enjoyed the fare there immensely.

I ordered 2x Eggs Benny, some smoothies and a mocha- my hungry husband and father were not impressed and said it was "the worst eggs benny ever in the history of eating eggs benedict" I have to concur- I tasted it and for the price it was small and not so tasty. The hash brown was a joke! my mocha... More

Food pretty good for lunch. A bit slow though. You can sit for 10 minutes before approached. Coffee not a strong point.

We went to this cafe on our first day, and each had a different meal. We were all impressed with the food and the service provided. It is right in town and offers both in door and outside dining areas. There is a good selection of foods on offer and as with previous reviews, fresh local fish is a dominant... More
