A characteristic, homely & very friendly small place. Great fresh food, freshly cooked, good wines too. Relaxed & informal. Always busy.

“Conozco la vaca”, the asador growled to the customer who questioned the cut of steak in front of him. The asador, with a weathered face symptomatic of one whose entire professional life has been spent over an open fire, watched the customer as he cut...More
Small uncomfortable place, but the food will take your complain away! The steaks are fantastic. The "chorizo" sausage is the most delicious in town and the star of the night is their "provoleta" grilled cheese, slowly cooked onto the grill....
I went on a Sunday shortly before the opening time at 12 noon, and there was no line at all, so I could sit at the counter directly facing the grill and enjoy watching the cooks prepare the food as well as enjoy eating it....More
One of the best parrilla joints in town, good value for money, friendly staff. Waiting for a seat at the counter might be long, but the experience pays off. Also great for Summer afternoons at a table outside.
It is suggestions like this Pulperia that makes Trip Advisor such an asset to travelers. This restaurant has seating for approximately 20-25 people so you may want to get there when they open at 7 PM. I was so pleasantly surprised with every aspect of...More
If you love steak and South American asado, this is the place. Small, you can sit at a bar and make new friends or outside in a table, the food is great! Ask for the melted cheese, steak and chorizo
Great steak grilled to taste, great attention, wonderful all around experience. Recommended baby beef or Costilla con lomo, chorizo, molleja, just teh way i like it
Great Uruguayan barbeque with several good options of meals. All the typical beef cuts are here. Decently priced too. We went with a succulent Ojo de Bife and some Morcillas. Patricia beers were the perfect drink to go with such a meal.
My favourite parrilla in Montevideo. The food quality is outstanding and the ambience is equal to sitting around a barbecue with a cold beer and good friends. The place is tiny so get there early as people queue to eat here
