I have probably been here a dozen times over the last year or so. It is always my first choice. Galician fare with an excellent Spanish wine list. Superb fish and seafood, and excellent beef. And great staff, front of house Xavier in particular always looks after me wonderfully, and the owners are often around, a good sign in a... More

First the good: Excellent Sangria. Now the bad: The food. My g/f ordered a steak medium. Came well done. She returned it. New steak was RAW. She returned it. New steak was rare not medium. Quality of meat was poor. Very tough. They gave me the wrong type of chicken. Service was fair at best. Took a long time to... More

People (lots of locals) come here for the meat, and they order huge mountains of it. We tried to restrain ourselves, but it was hard. The location, quality and service is very good. Well worth experiencing yourself. Busy on Sunday - make a reservation.

This bustling and busy market during the day, is somewhat diminished in the evenings as all but 2 restaurants, including this one,are closed, so it looks a little lonely, but being opposite our hotel,we gave it a try and we're not disappointed. Simple fare for us that evening of pork chops and salad, but nicely presented and by delightful young waitresses with a... More

The restaurant is very well located in the touristic place at the port in the "Mercado del Puerto" The big nice terrasse and the promise of a good steak brought us there. The steak was good not exquisite. I had to make it recook. The menus and the tables were dirty and sticky. The cost of steak items were high.... More

We ate here and the whole experience was pretty disappointing. The meal was pretty bad and the most annoying thing is the cover charge. I really don't get that at all!! when you have already purchased a meal and wine and told them you don't want the plastic packaged bread and gloopy dip, they still insist on charging you. It... We had a full day of touring, but with a late lunch we only had a half bottle of wine and some dessert at El Peregrino for our late night snack. We stayed at the Don Boutique Hotel across the street, so this was our closest option. Our very helpful waiter suggested I have the all chocolate dessert and my... More

I read a lot of the reviews and even if some did not like the quality I think the "average" of the rewiews also applied for me. I had a good sized and really delicious food. I liked it (But I did not have extreme expectations). The service was nice (my waiter was extremely nice and helpful but not annoying... More

I have just returned from a steak meal and had high expectations. I ate with a friend and we both ordered the same steak. His was cooked exactly as I like it and was a thicker cut which I prefer. Mine was too thin and served medium when I asked for rare. With 2 small beers, and a steak with... More
