We were at hotel next door - and our usual preference is NOT to eat at hotel. After a short walk, we were pleasantly surprised at nice ambiance. Wait staff was friendly (and English tolerant). Food was just fine - and above expectation. Good to wander out of local hotels and try Ananau.

Here is the thing Our palates may be different. peruvian food doesn't use strong spices or flavours. so I will rate the restaurant with a Peruvian palate. Presentation was gorgeous, sometimes plates a bit limited. Very good options, and food was pretty good. Much cheaper than dinning in the hotel we stayed in. The service a bit slow, but it's... More

I had the trout filled ravioli in lime creme sauce. This was a tasty dish however the trout pieces were microscopic. My friends had very tasty dishes ranging from a lasagna to a quinoa salad - with beautiful presentation. Service and decor are excellent! Definitely worth trying :-)

Liked this restaurant, we had a lovely meal after a long walk. Really good pizza and pasta. Slow service.

Stumbled on this restaurant when strolling around Yucay. Instinct led us to reserve a table for dinner. Glad we did or it might not have opened otherwise! We had the place to ourselves which was a shame as our meals were excellent quality, extremely well cooked and beautifully presented. Would recommend eating here if staying at the Posada del Inca.

I was staying in Sonesta Posada del Inca in Yucay for 9 days tour of the Sacred Valley of the Tawantinsuyu Empire. One night I decided not to eat at the hotel restaurant and the hotel staff recommended Ananau Restaurant about 100 yards from the hotel exit. I wanted to try the traditional Lomo Saltado dish. The waiter suggested another... More

We arrived in Yucay to spend a few days before we head out to Machu Picchu, and found this restaurant such a pleasant surprise. It was recommended to us by our hotel. The ingredients were surprisingly diverse and sophisticated as well as local, and we all loved our dishes. (One of our party was vegetarian, and he was able to... More

What a great hidden gem! This restaurant was located very near our hotel where we spent a few nights on our way to Machu Picchu. We dropped in on them without a reservation and they made it work for all of us by pulling three tables together. The food and service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone... We had read other glowing reviews of this restaurant and were looking forward to a great dinner. Unfortunately, the items we ordered were only average in quality, not memorable. Service was very good, however.
