We stayed here for 2 nights and had a relaxing stay in beautiful mountain resort. Irvin the bartender could not be more attentive, and friendly. Best Pisco Sours ever!

Alma is placed at the Casa Andina Private Selection, which is a very nice hotel. Alma also looks very promissing with its nice ambience in colonial style. However, it was a cold experience with a cold draft from the open doors, the ambience was somewhat destroyed by the noice from the bar, the bread was served after the main course,... More

We had breakfast which was included with our stay. It was mediocre to say the least . We enjoyed the pisco sours at the bar, cozy place and attentive service. Afterwards we went to the restaurant for dinner, the waitress was super sweet ,really wonderful service. We had trout and steak- much better than breakfast.

We ate at the bar and had very good wine for a reasonable price (Argentine Malbec). We had the mixed antipasto which was plentiful but not especially enticing. More than enough, but rather uninspired. The service, however, was superb. The waitress was attentive, competent, there when you needed a pour, but didn't hover. I wish I could remember her name.... Appetizers were good. But then I guess they lost the rest of the ticket cuz the party of 8 seated 45 minutes after us got their 2nd courses and still no sign of ours. When they came, my pork was way too cooked (so much for slow braised) and my wife's chicken was thrown together with none of the finesse... More

This was my second time at Alma. The first was in 2012 and the service was awful. Ever since, I can definitely say it has improved but could still be better, especially at the price of the hotel and restaurant. The food at Alma is good, but nothing outstanding: I have had better in Urubamba.

On our stay at this hotel we had a number of meals in this restaurant. The most delightful part was friendly wait staff. I especially would like to give a compliment to Cindy - each morning she greeted me and assisted me to find a comfortable table. She so pleasantly engaged in conversation with me. In a very short time... More

It's recommended and there are a few good reasons to have dinner in the hotel restaurant alma. First of all, it's good and cozy. The menu offers all local and traditional main dishes, the service is quick and friendly, it might rain in the Andes in the evening or at night and there are not too much options close by... More

The Casa Andina hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere, so eating in the captive restaurant (Alma) is the only alternative to hotel vending machines. The prospect was not alluring after the Alma experience in Lima (average), but this was admittedly a better experience. Menu is a bit skewed towards trout and lomo, which were not really what we... As we did not have a car, we choose to eat on the hotel grounds. We ate in the dining room one night and at the bar the second night. The soup was delicious. The sandwiches were generous. The fries were out of this world! I would eat those again and again! The cannot compare to anything we have at... More
