Kapallaq is a restaurant that serves great food. It is not unusual to see the owner (and chef as well) going between the tables asking if everything is fine. They have the best "sudado" in town which is a stew of fish. I highly recomend this restaurant if you are in town. They also serve fusion Mediterranian food. Enjoy! Tip:... More

Simple and clean recipies that respect the ingredients. The owner is very friendly and involved, he constantly approaches the tables to check if everything is alright and to talk about the dishes. Nice decor. Recommended.

Before coming to this rest, I had the best expectations, considering that this restaurant is one of the favs of Gaston Acurio and as also because this year they took part of Mistura, the famous Peruvian annual gastronomic festival. There, we tried their "chicharron de pulpo", it was delicious, so crunchy therefore for us it was on of the best... More

Drive past this everyday and rarely notice it. I was wondering about it and friends said it is a must. Not disappointed. It's in Reducto almost opposite Fiesta on the road that leads to Barranco from Miraflores. In a smallish house. Inside low ceilings, warm colors for a cosy dining room with a small bar to one side. Smart but... More

I went there with some friends from chile because i've head they made the best ceviche of lima. When we arrive the owner/head cheff Lucho approach to us and suggest to add some sort of caviar to freshen up our ceviche. However the fish did not seem fresh in fact it was chewy and since it had caviar the cost... More

Apparently the restaurant only opens in the afternoon. We had ordered some entrees and then couple of main dishes that could delight our taste buds. Found that the Cheviche was very bland and the fish was chewy. The rice with seafood was not as tasty as I have tasted a whole lot better in other restaurants. Found it extremely expensive... More

From the super-fresh fish, to the best bread in town, all the way to owner/head chef Lucho discussing his passions (surfing and cooking, in that order) with primarily Peruvian diners, this place is terrific for a relaxed lunch. Small and intimate, with an open kitchen, it is a world apart from the "production line" feel of other fine restaurants in... More

We did a gastronomical tour of Lima and our guide brought us here for lunch. I don't eat seafood but consented to try the ceviche. It was delicious and the seafood lovers in the group raved about it! We were served corn nuts and banana chips and bread for the table - all excellent. We also had a calamari salad... More

I've visited this amazing restaurant twice, a decade apart and it truly is a lovely, intimate and rewarding experience. Lucho Cordero and his wife truly provide an amazing restaurant experience from the polite intimacy of the service to the beautifully rooms and warm decor. The food, OMG, if Zarzuela, the Ceviche, yes, do have the special. Try the amazing Ceviche... More

A friend on Twitter recommended the restaurant - I have passed by it almost every day but never given it a try. But happy for having done it. Started wrong - no Dry Martini served, but they recommended a pisco based martini - and yes! It was a good one. (Midnight Gentleman or something similar was the name). We shared... More
