We went for a cups of tea and the waiter refused to serve us because he says only cappuccino is allowed to serve at this time...sad experience for a beautiful place....

I love this hotel and I love its cafe and bar too: the Pisco Sours are as good as everyone says (and as strong) but the food's not bad too. There's an outside terrace, a nice mixed atmosphere - more Peruvians than tourists - and that hard-to-create sense that you are somewhere special. It's a million times more atmospheric than... More

The cafe/restaurant at the Gran Hotel Bolivar is an excellent choice to eat. The food is excellent quality and not much more expensive than the crap fast food available locally.

This once grand 1920's hotel has lost a lot of its former elegance but it's still a "must do" when in Lima, We only went for the famous Catedral Pisco Sours, which didn't disappoint, but they were served in a bland dining room lacking any atmosphere and aptly labelled a Cafeteria. Service was almost non existent . such a shame... More

I had the Risotto with Langoustines which was not really a "risotto" but rather rice with liquid and the langoustines are Peruvian for shrimps. But the dish tasted good and was ample. Also the restaurant served Peruvian Tacama wines by the glass (I found that Lima restaurants serve Peruvian wines by the bottle much more than by the glass). Lively... More

Good morning. I Was there last month with a lady friend for dinner and it was my first time. This time I like to make it short a sweet. Don't feel like remembering what we ate etc, etc, but like I said, to the point. EXCELLENT FOOD. Service was very good. On my next trip back home, I will go... More

We didn't stay at the hotel, but the bar is famously known for making the best Pisco Sours. They did not disappoint! The appetizers were ok, but the drinks...I'd limit to 2!

We came here to try the pisco sours, which were good, and we were assured that the original recipes were used.

If you are looking for the atmosphere of a classic hotel, this is the place to come. San Martin square is breathtaking and The Bolivar is so as well. However, the pisco sours are just average and so is the service.
