Staff are very warm and helpful. Rooms are very clean and quiet. Breakfast is on the top floor and it's a great breakfast. One can have dinner there as well but we wanted to eat out in the area which contains many fine restaurants. The hotel is close to the beach although be aware there's a huge cliff drop and... More

A group of us took an afternoon cooking class here with Gonzalo. He met us at the market first and gave us a tour and picked out a selection of local fruits (that we ate later for dessert). Then back to Runcu for a great walk thru of Lima ceviche, piscina sour, papa de huancaina, and lomo de soltado. (Although... More

You'll love the location of the hotel. Right in the heart of Miraflores and close to the beach and within walking distance of Lancomar (the Mall). The room is simplistic, more on the Eco-friendly side. You wont be wow'd by anything spectacular in terms of the hotel design and construction, but you can rest assured that you will feel relaxed... Three of us took part in Gonzalo's cooking class recently while staying in Lima. This was organised by our travel agent and we didn't know what to expect but were very pleasantly surprised with our afternoon. This was a hands-on experience which started with a Pisco tasting (yes, there are different types) and then learning how to make a correct... More

The cooking school is a wonderful experience. Gonzalo is extremely knowledgeable and a great teacher. We made terrific ceviche, pisco sours, lomo saltado, and more.

Had a wonderful breakfast here. The menu is set when you aren't a guest of the hotel. However, you get a lot of food (omelette, ham and cheese, tamale, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc.) for around 25 soles ($10 dollars). The service was great and the waitstaff very friendly. On a sunny day it's great to take photos from the patio... More

We chose to stay here merely based on reviews on TripAdvisor! We were really looking forward to the resturant up on the 8th floor as I had heard a lot about it! Breakfast was free and delicious but the real highlight is the dinners and his signature cooking class - which he only just started recently, but it is as... More

We recently stayed at the Runcu hotel and took a cooking course at the restaurant. We would highly recommend it. We made pisco sours, ceviche, loma saltado and causa. Gonzalo, the chef, was an excellent "ambassador" for Peruvian cuisine. He had all fresh ingredients which we cooked and then enjoyed for dinner. It was an experience that we will not... More
