The food and service were good, but when I give some place a 5 rating, it wowed me in some way. Saqra didn't really wow me. In fact a believe some of the flavor choices were a bit off. Don't get me wrong we still...More

Been to this restaurant twice, once with our tour group and once with my mother. Food fantastic both times, consistently great food, fantastic service and great facilities. We started with the ceviche ( would recommend this to anyone, even if you don't like fish )...More

This restaurant was a 2 minute walk from our hotel (Casa Andina) and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and high level of service. The decor is quirky (wooden beams, white walls and colourful artwork). The restaurant is tucked away in a...More

This restaurant was recommended by our G Adventures guide and it didn't disappoint. Great flavor and great service. It was also walking distance from our hotel, la hotel Castellana.

Firstly I hardly ever give 5 stars, a place has to be exceptional to earn my "5". The restaurant is tucked down a small lane just off the street and we were lucky to stumble across it. The decor is difficult to describe, perhaps quirky...More

Nice laidback restaurant with good staff. Excellent main courses at about 40 solls (£10) per head. Alji de gallina and Lomo saltado very good. Disappointing lack of choice of desserts, only 2 out of 8 available, but what we had was very good. The toilets...More

The setting is weird but pleasant, the service is agreeable and efficient and the food... aaaaaa the food... simply amazing! We highly recommend the octopus appetizer and the cebiche. The main course was also crazy delicious, we'd never had meat that tender. Simply melting in...More

Absolutely superb. Best meal we have had in South America. My wife is gluten and shellfish allergic and there was absolutely no problem. Igrid the waitress had good English and was very good at recommending what we could eat Peruvian. The presentation is outstanding. Could...More

We went based on the consistently good recommendation, over the objections of our hotel concierge who was trying to steer us somewhere more expensive and "fancier". Yes the decor is rustic and they only have two wines by the glass (one red and one white...More

Had the Anticuchas steak and was cooked to perfection. The flavours really made the steak and good price for the food. My husband had the adobo dish and said it was good. The staff were helpful and the service is good. Would definitely recommend coming...More

Saqra, from the Quechua language meaning “little devil”, “naughty” or “mischief maker”. Saqra also refers to one of the characters found in the festival of the Madonna of Carmen in the village of Paucartambo, Cusco. Here, this happy little devil wins the heart of the Madonna with his childish pranks and mischief making as he dances around her playfully in the procession. These ideas inspired the creation of Saqra as a restaurant bar that offers modern Peruvian food where we reinterpret the Peruvian identity in a playful and contemporary key, conjuring up fun and colourful results. Saqra, in essence, is not really a place but a state of mind where this little devil plays a delightful host who wants that all his guests live a unique experience, where they meet again with their the inner child, sometimes long lost.
