The emphasis here is on fish (the restaurant is moored offshore in the River Itaya), Which was the reason for my fourth visit in as many years. Only to be told that the fish was off - apart from for cebiche - for reasons which...were wholly unconvincing. The grading given above is therefore extremely generous but of course the ambience is outstanding, particularly at night looking back to the lights of the city. Service was courteous and swift. Notes for visitors: Take the restaurant ferry boat from the embarkation point at 138 Avenida La Marina and know that a minimum spend of S/.60 per head Is required (easily achieved) if you want to use the pool. At weekends you will be extremely unlikely to get a poolside table, much to the detriment of your swimming experience, although there does seem to be a system for reservations. Alternatively, visit during the week (and even ring first to see if they have any fish ...).More

This a floating restaurant with a nice boat ride out to it. It has a beautiful pool attached as well. Options to sit under the thatched roof on either floor and view the rivers that become the Amazon or to sit on the deck at...water level. The atmosphere and vibe is unduplicated! The food is authentic regional, presented beautifully, and absolutely tremendous! Really cool to be there at sunset and sip a pisco sour.More
This restaurant floats in the middle of the river with great views. The access is by boat from it's own location in Iquitos. We went late in the afternoon and had a great meal of local fish steamed in some large leaves with great spices...and heart of palm salad. Given its great location and good food it is moderately priced.More
The place aspires to be top notch kind of venue, as both the design and prices indicate. Service was excellent, however the most important bit - food - simply average and well overpriced. I don’t mind paying a lot for a good meal, unfortunately none...of the dishes that arrived passed the test. That’s a great pity.More
This was really a fun experience from the moment you wait for the boat to take you to the restaurant. To the pool in the middle of this floating restuarant. The food is great, prices are reasonable and its a good vibe for friends and...family.More

If you do have considerable difficulty with stairs, your best deal would be to go on down to the market/landing at Puerto Mazuza (about five minutes away by mototaxi) and hire a water taxi to take you to the restaurant. It's not expensive, and much more accessible for those with climbing difficulties.

I took a taxi from the airport to Casa Morey. There is a boat shuttle service between Iquitos and the restaurant. Please check your airline tickets. I doubt that you have a direct flight to Iquitos from Canada. All flights to Peru arrive at night in Lima. Your flight to Iquitos would be the following morning. I don't recall the cost of the taxi but it would be in soles which makes the American dollar worth about 3 times as much. Transportation around Iquitos is by motocar - kind of a motorized rickshaw for lack of a better discription.
