Searching for vegeterian restaurant, we were happy to hear about Govinda in Cusco. We had a dinner in Govinda including creamy soups and other entries. The portions were generous, the taste was ok, and the price reasonable. Three of us (we were four) who ate the creamy soups (likely cause, but not sure) had a night of misery and could... More

This is for the location by the Cusquena brewery. We stopped in yesterday for an early dinner (about 6:00 pm). The restaurant is a rabbit warren of little rooms, with 3-4 tables in each. We tracked down the waiter/proprietor and ordered, but found that most of the items on the menu were not available, even though many of them utilize... More

They have many locations. The one I went to is located on the corner of Retiro and Recoleta almost in front of the Cusqueña brewery plant. The place is cozy, has very good price and good food. I would pick the muesli with yogurt and the pies as the best options - ok I am a non-veg...but the plates are... More

My family and I thought we would try this and the food was great. My daughter who hates vegetables fell in love with their asparagus soup so we will definitely go back for this alone. We ate a basic meal of paella and curried rice but the food was generous in portion and well priced.

we wanted to have some Indian food and tried the Govinda. And it was really delicious. The food was really good, everything fresh and cooked right next to you. and it's cheap. try it out.

The thing about Govinda restaurants I have noticed on my travels, is they move around frequently. I always search out a Govinda restaurant - being a veggie and all and liking a quiet serene place to dine. I took quite a few hours online to find the latest incarnation location of Govinda's in Cusco. It is (as of March 2013)... More

Small place, salty food. Does not seem very hygienic. Only 2 staff who cook and serve during lunch time when our group came. If you are looking for traditional Indian food this is not it.

Cusco is a ciy which invites you to stay a few days and we did. After our bad experience at the Deva restaurant, we went to the Govinda to try to ear some vegetarian meals, but we were dissponted of the grassy of the meals and the cold and dark atmosphere. Even if they offered vegetarians meals, we could finish... More

We went to Govinda one night for dinner. The prices were good, portions were huge but, the food itself was pedestrian. Desserts were ok.

The food here was some of the least expensive and most tasty that we had in our 2 week adventure in Peru. As vegetarians it was like going to heaven! 13 of us ate here for what we paid for one persons meal at a 5 star hotel! The restaurant is very basic, Indian themed, but the food is a... More
