Well...if I could I'd give it 4.5 stars but that's not an option. Just a few tiny tings keeping it from a 5. Firdt5, I do recommend it. It was very good. Good service. Good atmosphere. Wine was great. We did the pre fix menu and had a variety of local tastings. All were good..most very good. The main thing... More

My husband and I had lunch at this restaurant b/c it was recommended in our guidebook. The dining room was almost empty and the decor is not great so we had low expectations at the outset of our meal. I had the braised lamb and my husband had the grilled tuna. Both were delicious. The lamb may have been the... More

We wanted to go somewhere special to celebrate our last night in Quito and this place lives up to its reputation. Classy, chic and tranquil. The menu was innovative and the wine list most engaging. The chocolate lava cake together with mint ice-cream was heavenly. A truly fabulous evening!

Very tasty lunch with soup, octopus and salad. The service was great. And the room was worth the visit!

Old national theatre and opera houses usually have interesting architecture and design and this is no exception. Having a good meal there is fun as well.

The buffet was part of our tour of Quito with Celebrity Cruise Lines. All of the food was wonderful and included my favorites, like civiche. They also had a very talented singer for our entertainment.

We had the Tasting Menu #1 and were very pleased with everything. The service staff was attentive, polite and patient with explanations of the different courses. Our tasting menu contained a wonderful variety of dishes and each one was thoughtfully prepared with attention to presentation as well as flavor. At the end of our meal, they even arranged for complimentary... More

I visited theatrum as was of the opinion it be a good restaurant and fine dining. First the food, staff is friendly and place looks ok. Ambiance disturbed by bad choice of music. The food unfortunately was horrible. I'm a foodie and have eaten in many of the best so I don't mind to spend. However, what they served and... More

I chose this restaurant to have dinner during my vacations in Ecuador. The experience was disappointing: bad service in a decadent restaurant, really cold, with normal food but wishes to be awesome. And the price was quite high taking into account the food they prepare and the poor service they provide. In summary, a disappointing experience in Quito

We ate here as it was our last evening in Quito. What a disappointment. We were the only people in the restaurant, which should have been a warning sign. My smoked trout starter was so salty as to be virtually inedible. The main course of red snapper was tasty but nothing special. A glass of house wine was $9US and... More

Our restaurant is located in Quito's Historical Center on the second floor of Sucre National Theater, Cultural Patrimony from the XIX century, an expression of renaissance classicism. In the entire second floor it is located the most important restaurant in Quito, THEATRUM Restaurant & Wine Bar that offers an extraordinary menu of the vanguard Mediterranean cuisine. One of our emblematic dishes is the Grilled tender octopus with mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, garlic tossed in pesto vinaigrette. Our classic Ecuadorian prawns on the grill with avocado mousse and tomato fondue.
