The first time I visited this place was with my mom, so we drink wine and ate salmon. Now i have come with my mom, my wife and my daughter. Every time that I have to go outside for lunch or diner, we have to think about if the place is nice to children, well this place it is. The... More

As with most of Chile, nothing is mind blowing on the food scene. Small portions and blah service plus higher prices.

With all the "international" cuisine in Santiago, we wanted some Chilean food. This place met all our expectations. I had chicken stuff with bacon and some sauce. Decent price, and in a great neighborhood (Bellevista).

Went once based on raving reviews from friends, went again because it was our best meal in the whole of chile. First time, we had the pastel the choclo, mixto a pil pil and leche quemado as dessert, with a paico saguer and a carmanazo. Enough for two, and less than 20000, even with tips. Second time, We had the... More

This place was recommended to us by a tour guide at the nearby park, when asked about a place that serves typical local fare. It was indeed a very fortunate recommendation, with friendly service, very tasty food (ceviche to die for) and very reasonable prices (half the price of another place recommended by Lonely Planet that we went to the... Friends from Canada recommended El Caramaño Restaurant, so we drove down one evening for dinner. We can't say enough good things about our experience. The food was delicious, portions generous, and the price was outstanding. Now we recommend the restaurant to our friends and family

I went on a weekday and with a reservation for a family lunch celebration. The service was horrifyingly slow, adding to the fact that the waiters (because for some reason they kept rotating, when the place wasn't even at 50% of its capacity) answered evasively when asked for the delay. It took us nearly three hours to have lunch, and... More

We expected that it would be good from other reviews and guide book recommendations. It was. Good value, excellent wine, friendly English speaking staff.
