We got the 15 course food tasting with wine pairing. The experience was great, the food incredibly innovative, and my husband and I both loved how dedicated they were to staying true to Chilean traditions (with a modern take obviously), Chilean ingredients, and Chilean wines. We didn't absolutely LOVE the flavors, but I think that's more of a difference in... More

Went for our wedding anniversary (17th). The place is minimalist with design touches, i think they could replace the cheap and dirty alumninium window and perhaps have some music (considering they have a speaker set up). Lots of very sharp looking and friendly staff, like a well oiled machine, whizzing around all the time. We went for the 6 course... More

Borago provides a experience that is nothing short of culinary as theatre. Each course was an artistic composition, both visually and gastronomically; accompanied with a story describing the unique ingredients and their acquisition by highly skilled foragers. The personalized service made this an event that will never be forgotten.

1. The ambiance is sterile and the place is very noisy. Hard surfaces where nothing absorbs the din. Considering that they do not have music or wi-fi (presumably, so that you could concentrate on the food) it is both pretentious and silly. 2. Pretty much everybody orders the 15 course tasting menu (there is also a 6 course version) and... More

I was here in July but I've finally got around to reviewing the restaurants from that trip. We've been to quite a few world top 50 restaurants and this one was good, but not among our absolute favourite. Cool modern atmosphere, great service as would be expected. I actually enjoyed the juice pairing, a good alternative to the wine pairing... More

We had the full 15 courses. Four of them were memorable. a few seemed like the chef was 'trying too hard.' the wine pairings were mostly strong, with truly limited portions. We felt rushed. The lamb was tender but the cut was the size of a thumb. The mushroom Chupe was a favorite. Tres leches desert was inspired. many of... More

I will start my review commenting on the huge number of one and two star reviews that Borago has received in Tripadvisor with loads of them being totally outrageous and mean ... I have serious suspicions about the source of those reviews! For somebody who has had before fine dining experiences at the highest level it quickly becomes clear that... More

We enjoyed the meal. We went for the full tasting menu with the wine pairings. Food presentations and service were top notch. I'm not sure it warrants the price tag (USD450+ with tip), but we enjoyed our evening and it was definitely a memorable way to bring out trip to a close. Just to note, while I pretty much eat... We had dinner here on the first Saturday evening in March, our second evening in Santiago. We had the six course tasting menu with wine pairings. The food was quite tasty: especially good were the chupe of mushrooms, the rock vegetables, and the palometa. Service was quite correct and the room was spartanly handsome but noisy. This review would be... More

This is one that took us all by surprise. We booked this place based on the strength of the 2016 S. Peligrino "50 Best" Restaurants in the World rating--coming in at 36, with Le Bernardin coming in at 26, so we figured we would be in for some dazzle. I have dined at Le Bernardin, had a wonderful experience there,... More
